Oishi Grand — Restaurant in Pathum Wan Subdistrict

I don't understand the hype. Food is mediocre at best, price is ridiculously high for the quality, and service is very lacking. In fact I've even had staff take things of my grill plate that I gave them to cook. The produce for the grill station is very low quality. Dim sum taste like it's been steaming for days...soggy and tasteless. Tempura not crunchy. And most buffet items look as if they've been sitting there quite a while. Quality of the sushi is lacking as well.

Only high quality item at this buffet is the Haagen Dazs ice cream. But the serving size is a joke. See pic below. You have to keep going back again and again.

I am not cheap when it comes to food, I eat at places much more expensive than this, but prices at oishi grand buffet are extremely high for what you get. Lots of better places for less in Siam paragon don't waste your money or...

I tried A la carte menu instead of having a lunch buffet. Unfortunately, i have to agree with other reviewers that the quality of food is really not in line with its price level. In my opinion, in Japanese cuisines, the quality of rice is very important, but somehow the rice in the Sushi and the grilled eel was overcooked as if they put too much water when cooking rice. Maybe it only happened during my visit, but I think they should pay attention to the rice. Also the rice was not warm enough (almost cold) to be served with the grilled eel.

We came here almost by accident - we just really wanted sushi. And we didn't regret it. Moreover, this is probably one of the best places with the "all you can eat" concept. The freshest sashimi, especially the tuna. Sushi. Various hot dishes. Past soup. Dumplings. Gyoza. Delicious tea. And finally - Japanese sugar melon, very tasty ice cream and other desserts.
