KEN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Patong

The other night I ordered a Thai dish (chicken and asparagus) ask explicitly asked that it be “just a little” spicy. I made sure the waitperson acknowledged my request. She then served me a dish that was so heavily spiced up that after 3 bites I thought I was going to explode. It was insanely hot even by Thai standards. I nicely asked if they would please bring me another dish that was not so spiced up. All of a sudden, they started talking/yelling at each other in Thai. The waitperson came back looked at me very angrily and said “Ok”. They brought back a dish that was clearly messed with – It was the same chicken (you till see all the spices) and nothing but the bottoms of asparagus stalks swimming in oyster sauce (and who knows what else). I got up and walked out. These people are jerks. Plus the kitchen is filthy (same with bathroom). Very Very bad expereince. Supposed to be a good european restaurant with good breakfast.

I ordered a Continental breakfast (picture attached). It was supposed to be 2 fried eggs, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 boiled eggs OR poached eggs with 2 slices of bread with butter, jam and salad. U know what i got? Only 2 boiled eggs with 2 slices of bread, butter, jam and two pieces of cucumber.

When i asked the waiter, he said this is what u get. When i asked him to call for the manager, he said im the manager and i dont take any complaints. His name is Collet (thats what he said and went away). I literally saw him catering well to the Europeans and Russians but not to Indians. Extremely disappointed.

Best Thai Food in Patong so far. Forget all the tourist trap rubbish near Bangla Road, that serve food that isn't even Thai.

This restaurant is a genuine Thai restaurant, with authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. Every dish was delicious. We had seafood tom yum, squid rice, prawn Penang curry, prawn pad Thai, papaya salad, rice, and drinks, all for around 1200 Baht. For Patong this is very reasonable for such good quality food.
