Starbucks Jungceylon — Restaurant in Patong

COMPLAINT ABOUT VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR OF STAFF AT STARBUCKS

I was so disappointed, Humiliated and deeply insulted of this 1 staff at Jungceylon branch, today December 19,2024 at around 11:00. I ordered a pure matcha, I didn’t say iced or frappe to the cashier and she asked me if I wanna have a cream on top, so I stopped and wondering why she asked that, but I said NO. I told her I wanna redeem the upgrade size and I wanna pay for grande but she’s still preparing the grande cup and I told her again that I wanna pay the grande and you have to give me the venti size. After few minutes they called my name and gave me pure matcha frappe ( shake no cream on top). And I didn’t accept the drink saying “ I didn’t order for frappe I just wanna have the iced one “ and guy barista ask for a receipt and said yeah but it’s pure matcha and I said yeah but I didn’t order for a frappet and I want iced, and he said okay I will make new one for you then. I was okay and I felt bad that he made it already but I don’t like Frappe.

I was enjoying my drink at your establishment, which I purchased from your store, while also consuming food that I had bought from outside. Suddenly, from about three meters away, a staff member name Sasi or Sai shouted at me in a loud and unkind manner, saying, “Madame! You cannot eat here, but I wasn’t aware that she was talking to me cause she was far and I didn’t even notice her. She yell again “MADAME! YOU CANNOT EAT HERE! That’s food from outside, if you wanna eat you can go outside ! I even told her that you don’t need to yell at me in front of many people and you can talk to me in a nice way. She went back to the counter so, Im keeping my salad box and just eat the vegetables that left on my fork to close the box but she yell at me for 3rd time from the counter, imagine from the counter. And she said I said you cannot eat here ! This outburst not only caught me off guard but also drew the attention of all nearby customers, leaving me embarrassed and uncomfortable and I brought it with me until I get home.

I fully understand that establishments like Starbucks have policies about outside food, and I respect those rules. However, the way this situation was handled was entirely unacceptable. The staff member could have approached me politely and spoken to me in a calm and respectful manner instead of yelling at me across the room.

As a loyal customer who frequently visits Starbucks, I expect to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of any policy violations. This incident has significantly tarnished my experience with your brand.

I kindly request that you address this issue with your team to ensure such behavior does not happen again. Additionally, I would appreciate an apology and an update on the measures taken to prevent similar incidents...

Starbucks - Jungceylon (Phuket)

My personal favorite part about buying gifts from this location is they put your mugs and tumblers in a beautiful white cloth pouch.

This Starbucks is located in a very well populated area, full of locals and tourists. If you’re looking directly at the building, to the left, you will find white temple statue and to the left, Jungceylon, Multistory Mall.

In front of the building you will find life-size baby and mama elephants statue. I went inside Starbucks to pick up some “Thailand Must Have” souvenirs for my grandpa and myself. After looking for a while, I chose two 12-OZ, purple tumblers.

When I went to pay for them, I was pleasantly surprised when my barista started to pull out two beautiful white cloth pouches with green strings and placed each tumbler inside. When I asked, “Why do you guys put them in a separate pouch?” He replied, “It’s just how our store likes to put extra added touches to make great customer experience!”

The store itself is fairly roomy with plenty of seating on the right side. On the left side, by Order Counter, you will find additional seating on a large leather bench with tables.

The menu itself is pretty interesting. If you live on western part of the world, you may not be familiar with their menu items. Or, you might be surprised by their offerings.

They offer great variety of pastries at this location. Some of the other options you will discover - Starbucks Signature Desserts; “Shibuya Honey Toast,” “Caramel Pancake,” “Espresso Choc Chip Brownie,” “Mochi Custard Waffle,” and “Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie.”

Overall, I had a pleasant experience here and look forward coming back for great tasty treats and...

3 Aug afternoon My daughter was not feeling well and she asked us to go to Starbucks and have something there .We are amily of 4 I ordered snacks and cofee then we sat in a dirty table and we didn't even borthred anyone by asking them to clean the table for us my while waiting for the order my daughter put her head on her father lap and as she was weak she fall a sleep the staff rudely approched us informing us that it's not allowed to sleep honestly I was so upset I couldn't enjoy the drinks and I felt embarrassed as she was loud after she left we tried to wake my daughter but she couldn't wake up soon after that the staff came to tell us that its not allowed and she was extremely rude when I informed her that my daughter is not well we tried to wake her up and give us sometimes we.need to let her rest for 5 or 10 mins she came and informed me that she will call ambulance for her if she is not well ,my daughter closed her eyes for about 15 mins I understand its against the image of the brand may be but the way that we were treated is very bad very rude staff and no customer service and no empathy. I don't recommend this store to any tourist this is the 2nd visit for us to Pukhet and our last day there was owful because of the way the staff...
