This place is highly rated, but I do not really agree with the food quality or the prices to justify them. The place has a variety of middle eastern dishes and I ordered maqloobi with lamb, hummus, falafel, mashawi and stew with lamb.
The person (I think one of the owners) who took my order was not welcoming: just came over and gave the menu without welcoming or stating anything. I gave him my order and he just walked away without saying a word. The prices are high for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. The chairs are plastic, there are random items on the table and there is a half drunk bottle of water from whoever was sitting there before me on the table. Clearly the table was not cleaned up. There are some flys in the restaurant as well.
The food arrived relatively quickly. All the food was salty but the hummus was exceptionally salty (I like savory food and even for my taste, it was very salty).
The maqloobi was ok and had only one half a piece of eggplant. The lamb was cooked decently but that was the only decent item. The falafel was overcooked and was hard (should be crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside). Probably was old an refried if I had to guess. The kebab and chicken mashawi were ok but nothing special. The cubed grilled meat was terrible cut of meat and unchewable.
The stew was edible but also salty. I ordered a drink as soon as i sat down (ayran) yogurt drink. I reminded the waiter 3 times before they got the drink which was delivered after I was...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mangal, a Jordanian restaurant that offers a truly authentic experience. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with a cup of traditional Arabic tea, a delightful gesture that set the tone for the rest of my visit.
The ambiance of Mangal is inviting, with decor that beautifully reflects Jordanian culture. The staff were exceptionally hospitable and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable.
The highlight of my meal was the Lamb Mansaf, Jordan's national dish. The lamb was exquisitely tender and rich in flavor, served atop a bed of aromatic rice. The accompanying yogurt sauce added a creamy, tangy element that perfectly complemented the savory lamb. Sprinkled with pine nuts and herbs, the dish had a wonderful mix of textures and flavors that made each bite a delight.
