I recently stayed at Hip Hostel in Phuket, located right in the heart of Patong. Despite initial concerns about its size, the hostel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were surprisingly clean, and having a private bathroom for each room was a definite plus. While the hostel is on the smaller side, it creates a cozy and calm atmosphere, a refreshing change from the typical party hostels in the area. Perfect location, walkable to the party and the beach but far enough away from the noise sleeping wasn't an issue. Staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. I was able to email them with questions while I was out and about and they answered almost instantly. Only piece of feedback is the lockers are made with cheap particle board and aren't bolted down. They could easily be picked up and hauled right out of the room or broken into. Even with that being the case we felt safe and weren't too worried. Though the price is suitable for low-budget travelers, their service is not of low-quality. The room is simple and clean. The restroom is exclusive only to people who stay in your room, which to some extent guarantees its tidiness. One thing you should keep in mind is their blanket is relatively thin, so it’s better with your own jacket when sleeping.
