Bodega Bar — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This large and airy corner bar on Sai Song and Soi 13/2 is very relaxed and casual. Its not a girly bar. Instead it's much like a local British pub in that you can go in at 11am, perch yourself on a comfy padded high stool either at the rectangular centre-situated bar and escape the heat and traffic, chatting with the efficient bar-staff or reading the news, all day long if you wish and nobody is going to bother you. It's generally quite quiet until 4:30pm, when it livens up a lot. The crowd are generally a middle aged, good humoured bunch and you'll hear plenty of laughter and, occasionally, good live music. Don’t know about the food here. I was heading back to my accommodation after dinner, and when I was passing this place a great rendition of “old time rock and roll” was being belted out live.

I was hooked and headed on in - and stayed until the band finished at midnight! The band mainly played covers from the oldies, so pretty relaxed listening. Great corner location so plenty of options for people watching too. The venue was furnished with old but plush stools to keep your bum comfortable, and served cheap drinks to ward off dehydration :)

Good prices in happy hour 7am to 7pm,all of the girls on staff very pleasant and will have a laugh and a joke with you and always recognise you.Being on a corner of soi 13:2 and second road a great place for people watching.Band in the evening very good.Lots of tv screens around the bar and british newspapers as well.You can even have food brought in to eat where your sitting,and i always go there...
