To be honest I can't really review the hotel nor the rooms as I didn't get the opportunity to see them even though we booked on Hotels.com, paid in full and had a verified booking. My partner and I finally made it to the front desk after our friendly Google maps helper advised us to go to the dodgy alley behind the hotel instead of taking us to the front door of the hotel tucked away off Pattay 8 Alley. A colourful experience walking through the seedy bar area but not much help when all we wanted to do was check in and go get some dinner! ||We finally found the front desk and were greeted with a courteous yet curt demand for our passports. This was a problem for us as we had been working in Bangkok for a few months and our employer had our passports temporarily to apply for working permits on our behalf. We had electronic copies with us however this hotel policy permitted originals only. This is not mentioned anywhere on the website or on Hotels.com where we booked it. So here we were, 2 hour drive from home with no room, no refund and no assistance offered. ||I understand the need for policy when running a business, and I accept it was not the hotels problem that we didn't have the documentation they required. I get it, but leaving your customers stranded with no assistance is a ridiculous way of running a service based business. ||Our solution was to book into Mera Mare just down the road who were happy to accept our Australian photo ID and electronic copies of our passports. The staff here were extremely helpful. Shame on you Cheap Cheap Nest Hotel. Can't express my...
Read moreFirst of all the rooms look as amazing is person as they do in the pictures. Plenty of space without being too spacious. I’ve stayed in a lot of 4/5 star hotels and I will put this room up with any of them. Location wise was also impressive, but even better it’s actually tucked in a little so nobody walking by and makes you feel that much safer. On second night my power went out in room 😢. Went downstairs to inform them and they immediately came up to room and got the power on. AC was still out. Honestly I didn’t need it as I don’t really like it ice cold anyway so I told the man I’m fine. He offered me twice to move me into another room, but really I was fine. Two minutes later I get a call from downstairs and the lady also offers to move me to another room. I decline again but really appreciated the gesture. The next day I came downstairs and again lady offered to switch me rooms which I declined as I was told maybe mechanic would show up either way I was fine. Well after a day out I return and lady ask again and I decline again, but she insist that I get another room for night to sleep but can keep my current room also so o don’t have to move my stuff. I accept just in case, but I may not use. Either way this is 1st class over the top service. ||||Price for hotel was also unmatched. I give 5/5 with no issues and I never give a perfect 5/5 stars. ||||Not many hotel amenities, but honestly I didn’t want that. I wanted to force myself to dine out, drink out, and just get out. Only thing I’m sad about is that this is my...
Read moreWell I've been here 1 night so far, THE ROOMS ARE DARK even with all the lights on and the curtains open because the walls are painted a dark grey and the furniture is dark brown. THERE IS NO SOUND PROOFING so I can hear all the bars in the surrounding area which close at about 0300. I can hear the water pumps in the building and everytime some walks down the corridor and opens a door upstairs and diwnstairs. THE BED IS SO HARD I feel like the floor may be more comfortable. The mini fridge does cool very well after a full 12 hours my small can of beer is just below room temperature. THE AIRCON IS SO LOUD I had to turn it off to try and sleep which doesn't bother me that much, the fan seems to be permanently stuck on full even if you try change it on the remote the fan speed doesn't change. My friend who is an aircon technician tells me all the filters are block on the aircon and his room has a very nasty smell coming for his aircon. THE HOTEL IS VERY HARD TO FIND we drove past it in the taxi and had to walk all the way down soi 8 asking several hotels if they knew where it was but they were no help Hopefully tonight I'll be so drunk that none of this...
