I was strolling along, after watching the sunset at the beach, when I stumbled upon this hidden gem. I was immediately greeted outside as I perused the menu and invited in, sandy feet and in my sarong. The atmosphere is modern and chic mixed with cozy and flair. You could tell that there were some regulars inside enjoying their meal too and others popped in and were greeted like old friends. There were positive sayings scrolled on the surrounding walls and a beautiful hand painted mural greeted you as you walked in the door.
I chose the papaya salad and green apple smoothie. I thought the tartness of the green apple would complement the sweet heat of the papaya salad and I was correct! Before my salad was served, I was brought these snacky fried sticks that had a little bit of a spicy flavor and they were delicious! Then he brought me a tempura battered eggplant (I’m plant based so this was an unexpected treat). Both snacks were welcomed and delicious. The papaya salad was loaded with flavor and lots of crushed peanuts too to give it that extra boost of protein and my green apple smoothie had just the right balance of sweet and tart. Once I was finished with my salad, I was brought fresh watermelon! This place takes service to their customers to the next level and very out of the ordinary in Thailand. I was still munching on my watermelon when I was offered complimentary coconut ice cream! At this point I was getting pretty full but I managed to have a few delicious bites of the creamy dessert. I left PJ’s full and happy!
I was not searching for a place to have dinner but I am so grateful that I passed by PJ’s and decided to give it a try! I will definitely be back to try...

This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Pattaya! We visited a couple of days ago and were completely blown away by everything - the expertly crafted cocktails, the mouth-watering food, and the world-class customer service that left us speechless.
A very special thank you to Boom, whose attentiveness and energy lit up the evening, and to the kindest and most passionate restaurant owner we’ve ever met, PJ. Not only did PJ make us feel incredibly welcome at our own table, but we also watched him warmly engage with every single guest in the restaurant, something you rarely see these days.
Every single dish that came out of the kitchen told a story - rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. It truly felt like we were taken on a culinary journey that we’re still reminiscing about. Since dining at PJ’s, every other place we’ve visited on this trip has been compared to that experience - and let’s just say, no one has come close!
PJ's has redefined customer satisfaction. The entire experience has set a new benchmark not just for Pattaya, but for dining across Thailand.
To PJ and the incredible team: please keep up the amazing work. Continue creating those magical, heartwarming moments - because those are the memories that truly last. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms and making us feel like we were right at home in your restaurant. We’ll be dreaming of this night until we return!
With heartfelt thanks, Your biggest fans from the table that couldn’t stop smiling.
P.S. My note to Michelin Guide - it’s about time you visited PJ’s restaurant. This place is something...

I love Thai food. It's one of the reasons I'm here. But I had no idea that there were regional cuisines in Thailand. It should have been obvious to me, like the difference between Szechuan and Hunan flavors, or the different tastes of Guadlajara's jalisco flavors and Oaxaca's spices.
Tonight, I discovered Isaan Thai flavor! And it's amazing! It's still very Thai, many of the same chili's, veg, etc. But there is a distinct Isaan flavor that's out of this world good~!
They also had the usual suspects of many of the Thai dishes that I already love and eat on the regular. But tonight, I decided to take a chance on two Isaan dishes, and I'm glad I did.
The atmosphere and the service were as good as the flavors. PJ is incredibly hospitable, super nice, and funny; making the evening even more enjoyable.
So, if you're looking for a place that's moderatley priced, yet feels surprisingly upscale, enjoy a meal at PJ's. And maybe try some Isaan flavors?
I had two main dishes and a drink, coming...
