WASHI​ — Restaurant in Pattaya City

My friend and I came in expecting a nice meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t turn out that way. We didn’t eat all the stuff, especially sushi, because they were not tasty, so when we decided to leave, we were shocked to be told that we had to pay extra for each peace of sushi we didn’t finish. Overall it was 600 baht fine for both of us in addition to 1600 we should‘ve paid for the most expensive option (1400 baht for 2 people + service fee). The rule was written on a sign in Thai, a language neither of us understands. It felt unfair, as we had no way of knowing about this policy in advance.

What made things worse was how the situation was handled. Instead of trying to explain calmly, the staff immediately called security, who treated us in a very disrespectful and confrontational manner. It was an extremely uncomfortable and distressing experience.

Later that evening, my friend started feeling unwell and had to seek medical attention. We’re pretty sure it was due to the oysters or sushi, which didn’t taste fresh.

Overall, this visit left a very bad impression, and I cannot recommend this...

My visit to the Thai buffet turned out to be extremely unpleasant.

It started off well, but things took a turn for the worse when my friend and I, not feeling very hungry, decided to leave. We were forced to pay for the leftover food, based on a sign written exclusively in Thai. We don’t understand Thai, so how were we supposed to know? I understand that some buffets operate this way, but in Thailand, there are also buffets where this is not the case, and customers are usually informed in advance.

To make matters worse, the staff immediately called security, who behaved rudely. Instead of engaging in a dialogue or showing understanding, we were met with aggression.

But the worst part came later: after returning home, I developed a fever and will likely have to visit a hospital. I suspect food poisoning, as the oysters I ate had a strange taste.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience left me with an extremely bad impression. I wouldn’t recommend this...

We paid 1,8XX bath for 2 people. Even we chose the highest choice. All the ingredients are very very low quality. The sashimi had no taste, extremely Fishy, super salty, smelly.. Sushi was so terrible. Low low quality. rice was sooo bad (wet) We only ordered food once..we couldn't even finish what we ordered!! Of course we tried to finish them but we almost threw up!! My friend had to run to the bathroom!! I'm not even try to to dramatic. If we continue eating we will end up in the hospital!!

In the end they tried to charge us for left over!! I explained to them that the food we ordered are not even worth 1800 bath They still tried to charge us money. So I told them if we continue eating we will end up in the hospital! They can taste their food if don't believe us.

What a nightmare...
