2/10 - Quite a nice hotel. The pool area is good for kids, SLOW internet, but it's enough to watch YouTube. Sadly the management are NOT honest, so this is the main problem.
It's not as nice as my 1st visit here because all of the furniture and room amenities are older and worn a lot, but it's a very good location if they have a 4 star price point it's probably worth it then.
The big problem is the management are TERRIBLE unfortunately! I was directly lied to.😕
But the rest of the staff are great -
Somerset staff were better educated on "customer service", but here the staff are still very good and friendly, except management 🫣
Aside from them lying to me, I have a leaky toilet in the room.
So I'm left to conclude the management cut corners to save money instead of doing things at a high quality standard (small thinking manages!).
My issue (individual not hotel quality related):
I booked for 8 days, and was going to extend 2.5 more weeks (with the toilet leak repaired), the front desk gave me a very expensive price 60% more than my current rate.
I looked online and it was 10% CHEAPER, than my current rate! So 70% less than their offer!
So I said I'll just book online and if it's okay I can keep the same room so I don't need to pack and unpack in the same hotel, plus it saves them cleaning 2 rooms for 1 guest.
They "PROMISED" that if I did not book online their manager would match the rate, and they ASKED ME TO HELP THEM because the website takes a fee and if I didn't use the website they promised to match it.
...So I agreed to help the hotel..
I waited and waited, and asked again they finally gave the the same stupid price with 3% off so "57% more, and they CHANGED THE ONLINE PRICE!
So they lied to me, and made me wait a full day so I would NOT book it online!
----- LYING to a customer is unacceptable. -----
The hotel is a nice location, but I will never use it again because they are not honest!
I now have a panoramic room at Akara (new 5 star) 150 metres away for less than the silly manager was trying to charge. - ironically after I booked Akara their price online dropped back to my current price again the following day. - Just no customer care from the management here.
So it's worked out really well for me anyway, by being able to get Akara at a cheaper price .🤗
If the silly manager had not been stupid I would never have looked across the street for a different hotel!👏
Worked out for me, best of luck to this hotel but I'll never come back on principle.
You just can't lie to a paying customer.
This breaks all trust!
And be advised they take 8 times they security deposit of any other 5 star hotel in Pattaya, this was surprising bc there was none last visit here. But there's LOTS of kids at this hotel so perhaps they damage rooms...
Read moreWe booked three suites with ocean views for a two-night stay, but the layout of the hotel caused some inconvenience. Since each floor only had two suite rooms, we were split across different floors, making it difficult to move between our rooms. Adding to this, the elevator stops were tied to our room keys, further restricting our access.
On the positive side, the room design was modern and well-equipped, with ample air conditioning and breathtaking, unobstructed views of Pattaya Bay from the balcony. The 1.5-meter glass railing on the balcony provided a safe and pleasant space to enjoy the sun and sea breeze with a beer. The 63-square-meter rooms felt quite spacious, and the bathrooms were a highlight, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows for an amazing ocean view while bathing.
However, there were some shortcomings in the hotel's service and amenities. The control panel by the bed only had a USB port on one side and a single master power button, which was inconvenient. Additionally, despite our rooms being cleaned daily, the bed linens were not changed.
Most disappointingly, when we requested to check out two rooms early (at 10:30 AM) on the day of departure, while keeping one room until 2 PM, the hotel refused, citing a full booking for the day. This was a major inconvenience, especially for the elderly members of our party, who had to wait in the lobby until the 2 PM . This level of inflexibility was surprising, as we have not experienced such issues at other international hotel chains like Four Seasons, Siam Kempinski, or even the Hilton in Pattaya, where guests are typically accommodated for early checkouts or late checkouts.
Overall, while the room facilities and ocean views were impressive, the lack of service flexibility and attention to guest needs was a significant letdown, highlighting the difference between this local hotel and the standards of international...
