Zaika Indian restaurant — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I wish I thoroughly read the reviews on tripadvisor before eating here. This restaurant should be taken off TripAdvisor & GOOGLE ASAP and avoided with a passion.

Me and 2 friends ate here. The waiter was sooo smooth he could sell you a leaf disguised as a chicken. He recommended a whole tandoori chicken. But what we got is 2 pieces of leg and 2 pieces of thigh chicken! Where's the breast chicken mate??? We ordered loads more and all the chicken dishes were stinky, fatty, horrible chicken thigh. We had a lamb dish but only got 3 very small pieces of lamb, probably synthetic material as it did not taste of lamb at all. All our dishes tasted of the same sauce and had no distinct flavour but just of one gravy. Rice portions ridiculous, nan bread super thin smothered in oil. Prices are ridiculously high and the restaurant smells of stinking socks with old dirty furniture. Just a total disappointing ambience. We spent 2000 bhats (£51.80).

Here's the best part. The owner, wears glasses, has some odd looking purple dyed hair (think it's just a build up of grease and dandruff), wore super loose jeans and a dangling cheap watch was such a show off. Came over and gave it the Billy big balls. He pulled out his Samsung S4 and gloated how out of a thousand Indian restaurants in pattaya his is number 3. "OKAY, we get it mate. Please get out of our face and stop showing off"

I just had to go back and investigate why is Zaika so popular on tripadvisor but I was flabbergasted and absolutely shocked to discover that the owner has been writing reviews himself. He and his associates have been writing 5 out of 5 positive reviews for well over a year now and is cheating. If you see all reviewers are only single reviewers, they are almost identical, they have no character and have no spelling or grammar. It's so OBVIOUS his committing FRAUD.

MR JAIN or whoever you are. It's wrong what your doing, your cheating and it's about time the PUBLIC and TRIPADVISOR know about your cunning and deceitful operation.

I will email TRIPADVISOR and GOOGLE directly and tell them about your fraudulent actions.

To sum it up, EXTORTIONATE, FALSE, FRAUD, BAD QUALITY AND A TOTAL CON. Absolutely disappointed in you Mr Purple haired owner of 20+ years. Hope you get what you deserve and hope the public wake up and see what...

Zaika Indian Restaurant is so good that Covid-19 could not shut it down! The last two times I came I was with friends who have lived in Thailand over 40 years. We agree that this is the best Indian food you can find. The tables are set-up with lovely table covers changed for each customer. The 2nd floor is beautiful and set up for larger groups. This place is spotless. The tables are spaced for safety. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and the owner is always on-site greeting customers. The staff was so helpful helping me order something new and sat with me. They are an incredible team. My new dish was vegetarian and I took a bite and got lost in the flavors. I ordered two cups of Indian Chai Tea. So good! There seems to be a million Indian restaurants on the popular road but this one stands alone....

After having eaten here a few times now it can be hit or miss, my conclusion is skip it, plenty of Indian resturants to choose from.

The food is good however the last few times it has been more of a daycare than a resturant with the staff chatting away and playing games, this may be enjoyable for some?

A previous meal i ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, it was full of splinters from the shattered bone, see photo.

I personally am not a fan of chicken thighs, after asking the waitress if they could make my curry with chicken breast, she went to ask the chef? I repeated the request and she nodded yes. Guess what, chicken thigh was served.... but atleast it...
