Bad experience here two days ago on 01/11/24. When ordering my food, the waitress asked how spicy, i said very mild, little spice. The meal came and it was the spiciest thing i’ve ever had in my life, and I am used to some spice, but I know how spicy thai food can be. She either didn’t tell the kitchen or the kitchen just ignored and made the dish as normal. I sent the food back, waitress was rude about this. I asked for small level of spice.

When the food came back, it had no spice in it at all, so she just told the kitchen not to add any spice at all for convenience when recooking. Unfortunately this was not what i ordered and meant that the dish had hardly any flavour and wasn’t good. Again staff member was rude bringing the dish over and slamming the plate down, no apology, terrible customer service. My partner’s food lacked taste and flavour, the worst food we’ve had in all of thailand, and fairly expensive too.

As a result of this bad service, I asked for the service charge to be removed, which is not a legal requirement and was not deserved. This was obviously a pain due to staff passing it to different members of staff each time, eventually getting to the manager. Credit to the manager, she was very understanding and accommodating and issued a 10% discount to remove the service charge.

Would not recommend this place to tourists as the food isn’t good and is expensive, and although the restaurant makes most of it’s money from tourists, they aren’t treated well with poor customer service. From reading other negatives reviews of the place, this bad customer service seems to be a theme of...

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars!

I went here on tuesday, and look for a place to eat while seeing sunset across the chao phraya river and wat arun. Around the corner i see a lot of other restaurants with lines, and wondering why this restaurant has no line? At first i thought this wasn’t gonna be a good one. However, at the front table, a staff immediately welcome me and checking a table for me. I thought since i came alone, they wouldnt take me or giving me a bad seat, but she immediately ask me whether i want to sit on the rooftop or inside, i chose rooftop and she got me a table, when i dont even reserve one.

By the time i arrived at the table, the view and vibes was amazing, you can see wat arun along with the ferries in chao phraya, and they played a trending calming song too. I ordered the classic pad thai with the river prawn that was big and juicy, also their mocktail & cocktail which is refreshing after a hot weather touring on the temple. The price is also reasonable too!

All the staffs seems to be ready to serve you, and then one of the staff willingly take a picture of you, and he knows just the right angles! He also recommend me to wait at 7 pm to have more beautiful photo background.

Everythings amazing, the food, the staffs, and the ambiance. I dont know if i was lucky that day or theyre just that good. I hope one day i can bring my love ones here and feel the same way i felt when i was there.

Keep up...

After visiting the Grand Palace during the morning I decided to come back to the area for dinner and take in the view.

Came in without a reservation (highly recommend you make one) and after maybe 15 minutes I was seated on the top level with an excellent view of Wat Arun Ratchawararam across the river.

The service was polite and not rushed as most were here for the views not the food. I ordered the honeymoon cocktail which was refreshing but not particularly strong. For my starter I had the Thai spring rolls which were very good, the main was shrimp Pad Thai which had 4 large full shrimp (heads and tails) and though good wasn't great. I had a Thai dessert of some type of beans in a sweet cream that I really enjoyed.

The people watching for me was the best part. Watching all these people, in particular the younger ones, who spent the majority of their time taking photos of themselves there and then on their phones adjusting the new photos for posting instead of taking in the awesome view and experience that was right in front of them. Funny watching boyfriends/husbands having to show their girlfriend/wife the photos for their approval. The restaurant even had a dedicated person to take your photo...
