I am a solo traveler and after visiting the bustling area around The Grand Palace and the river, I discovered Siam Origins, a relaxing oasis facing a park with delicious food. The menu is so creative, Like the pomelo salad, which is off the charts. Every dish is made with such thought and care. I actually went out of my way to eat there three days in a row Ordering three different entrées, one appetizer, and coconut ice cream. Plus, you can tell the staff really love working there. I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant and will send everyone I know there when they visit Bangkok. Don’t miss it!

A great health-focused restaurant serving exotic and truly authentic Thai menus unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Cozy and laid-back, it’s tucked away near the museum—perfect for a chilled stop. What makes it special is their menu, full of dishes that are rare to find in ordinary places. My favorite was the Pomelo Salad—a creative twist inspired by Laab Isan. It comes mixed with fresh Isan herbs, spices, and a hint of fermented fish sauce, giving it a bold yet refreshing flavor. Truly unique and memorable!

This restaurant is located behind the Museum Siam. I only found out later that it’s owned by Chef Gai, the legendary female Iron Chef of Thailand. I tried one of their desserts called “ข้าวแรมฟืนร้อนน้ำตาลอ้อย” (Sweet Pea Curd in Sugar Cane Syrup). The name already sounded delicious and it truly was. The curd had a creamy texture, made from mung bean flour, and was perfectly paired with fragrant, lightly sweet cane sugar syrup. The touch of sweet and sour from the fruit balanced it. Such a perfect combination!

So I came in after the museum to enjoy a snack and drink. I thought it would be a safe bet since they would serve a lot of tourists with high prices of course.

1 — i ordered cheesecakes for me and my partner (🫐 & 🍓). The fruits and jam on top were fresh and maybe homemade. But the cake itself was so disappointing I didn't even think of taking a picture. It is clearly bought frozen (or made in advance then frozen). Honestly one of the worst cheesecakes I have had in a long while.

2 — They are buying reviews. They have a QR code on the table to leave a review with pictures and then they give you a "free drink". Which is very vague on purpose I think. Also very dishonest and manipulative in my opinion. I wonder if they would give me a free drink after leaving a bad review like mine 🤷🏼‍♂️

In short, avoid this tourist trap. They charge high prices for low quality cheesecakes. And if the rest of the menu is anything like them then I guess it's not worth it unless you...

First time leaving a review for a restaurant. Entered the restaurant around 2 30 pm which isn't even peak time. Waited for over 30 minutes and the food still didn't come out. Asked the waiter while we were waiting. She smirked and left. We were about to leave and informed the waiters about this just in case they were cooking the food. The barista yelled at us and told us to leave in thai. This indicates that the food wasn't placed in order. Can't review the food because it didn't come out in the first place. No ill intentions for the restaurant. Food and atmosphere looks good through the photos which is why we went to it. But there seems to be very poor management and worker selection is... very low in quality too. Unfriendly overall and it seems like there are communication issues with the...

Located within the borders of Museum Siam is this quaint but exquisite restaurant surrounded by lush greenery and floor to ceiling windows.

Eating here was one of my best experiences in Bangkok because the food was exceptional! There are also not a lot of people who go here on weekdays, so it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves.

I cannot exaggerate how delicious the food is! Everything that was meant to be creamy was extra creamy. Everything meant to be decadent was decadent. Everything was so flavorful but not too salty or spicy. It was perfect.

Though the serving sizes are a bit on the smaller side for something mildly expensive, the taste and presentation of the food made it all worth it.

If I ever go back to Bangkok, I'm definitely...
