Absolutely terrible experience, terrible service. I wished I should have read all bad reviews before going to spend money at this place. First of all, when we got there, we were told that we have to spend certain amount of money to be seat on the good spot so we decided on the table that minimum spend of 1600baht. Then walked up to rooftop because there is no elevator. Tables are place really close to each other and only small space between each table like they were trying to fit as much as possible tables in a tiny establishment. Food and drink price are expensive but I thought if it’s delicious, it’s will be worth it. We ordered 4 dishes and my BF ordered 1 cocktail. Food was not good, but service was worse. Restaurant wasn’t busy at that time, there were 4-5 staffs but they too busy talking to each other or play with their phone, no one pay attentions. Our water ran out on first 15 mins, never get fill up. My BF dropped spoon on the floor, I was trying to ask for new spoon and ask for water but nobody look at our table. I wanted to order drink and my BF wanted to order another cocktail but again nobody look, after half way through our dinner that we were trying to get they attentions, we gave up and decided not to give this place any more money. Our waitress never come back until brought us a check. Which by the way I’ve learned that the only way to get staffs attentions is to shout at them or doing the crazy hand waving. At the end the bill is around 2200+ something baht for 4 dishes and 1 cocktail. No customer service at all, But they have service charge 10%on the bill, So basically you paid for no service. The only good thing about this place is location. I was so disappointed and definitely not going back. There are plenty of restaurants near by in the area that have much better food and service, and also have the same view. Don’t waste your time and money here, it’s...
Read moreWe were told the minimum spend for the table on the rooftop was 2000 THB. While ordering we expressed many times that we need to meet the minimum spend. When we finally decided to get the bill to leave, they told us the minimum spend is 2500 THB. They insisted that it’s 2500, but we heard 2000. I get it if they made a mistake or if we misheard. But there were dozens of opportunities to correct us. For example while ordering we asked the waitress the subtotal and she said it was 2200, and we said “oh ok good we passed the minimum spend”. Wouldn’t that be a good time to correct us? And after all the orders arrived we were there for another 30+ mins. And yet they never bothered to tell us that we have not met the minimum spend. Very bad communications. Food is mediocre, definitely over priced and subpar food. The thai milk tea was flooded with ice, and probably has like 3-4 sips worth of liquid in it.
If the minimum spend for the table is 2500 THB, why not print it or write it on the table, or in the menu? Why keep that information hidden? I feel like it’s a scamming tactic - they can say whatever minimum spend they feel like.
The restaurant claims they have evidence. No. They just have evidence that we were physically there at the restaurant, but there is no evidence that they told us the minimum spend is 2500.
Regardless of the truthfulness of the claim that the minimum spend is indeed 2500, there were MANY chances to reiterate this to correct our misunderstanding. If you are the waiter and the customers clearly think minimum spend is 2000, you have duty to mitigate the misunderstanding by correcting us, instead of waiting until the...
Read moreNot a very decent experience for me overall: The restaurant located at the end of a narrow street, and it's located at the rooftop (5th floor) of Arun Riverside hotel. No lift provided, walk all the way up to the 5th floor, and the washroom only available at 2nd floor. The view was nice, but it's not windy, and my slot was at 730pm, the sky already turned dark, but the restaurant dont have any candles or lights on the table for us to view the menu. We literally use our phone torch to read the menu, and there's no assistance offered from the staffs as well. Not recommend to make reservation (during weekdays, not sure about weekends), as it's actually not fully booked, in fact many empty tables. But we paid 4,000 baht to sort of 'guaranteed' the table, and forced to order food and drinks to meet the amount, which you no need to do so if you walked in. Food was normal, nothing impressive, we literally ordered all the best sellers stated in the menu. Lastly, this was an epic one, we ordered fruit juice and the staff said the juice was not fresh juice. Fine, we ordered mango shakes, 15 minutes later, mango shake sold out. We ordered rambutan shake, 10 minutes later, rambutan shake sold out. And bear in mind there's no new customers come in during this period. Poor management i can say.
Overall, what i can say is it's overpriced and overrated.
