VIBE Coffee & Plant-Based Food — Restaurant in Phra Khanong Subdistrict

I like that we have more plant-based cafes/restaurants popping up in the city, but VIBE isn’t helping to spread good vibes about vegetarian or vegan food.

We’ve ordered from VIBE (via FoodPanda) a few times, and each time has been a pretty poor experience. First, their menu was very confusing in regard to what was fully vegan and what wasn’t. But to their credit, they made some changes recently. However, we’ve been super disappointed in portion sizes from each order.

The club sandwich is 79 baht and isn’t really a sandwich because it’s literally made with one piece of bread. As a lunch or dinner option, it doesn’t even touch the sides.

The vegan pad Thai - which you can get all over Bangkok for about 40 baht (with egg) - costs 99 baht and doesn’t even fill a standard cereal bowl.

For the price, you’d expect portions to be bigger. If not bigger, the flavour needs to be great and it isn’t. Value for money at VIBE has been non-existent for us so far.

As an FYI, VIBE calls itself plant-based, but be careful what you order because not everything is vegan.

As far as I can tell, VIBE is a new restaurant (at least on FoodPanda) and I really hope they improve their offerings over time. The choices are very varied and I’m keen to try other dishes. But with value for money being so low, I’ll probably avoid this place...

My family and I passed by and dined at True Coffee @Vtara 36 on 7 June 2019. We reached approximately 7.20pm and the door was locked while there was a female staff inside the cafe. I looked at the operating hour, which stated 7am - 8pm. The door was unlocked by the staff then and we were greeted unfriendly, as we owe her money? And she even reminded us that we only have 30 minutes left. I said OK, since my parents were hungry and we just wanted to grab some food to eat (I wonder if True Coffee prohibits customer from ordering 30 minutes before the cafe is closed?) . During the food order process, she was very unfriendly. She did not smile, and the whole food & beverage preparation was in a very rushing way as if we are stopping her from going home (while it was still 30 minutes to 8pm?!) I had been to several True Coffee before and this is the worst customer service I have ever received.

Compliment: I went to the same True​ Coffee in the morning before and I must praise the male staff who works in the morning is very friendly and his attitude...

Quite pricey but no other healthy cafe was open this early for breakfast. The quality of dishes was mixed but service was impeccable.

Vegan Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl: 4.5 stars Granola was unsweetened just the way i like it. Fresh thick slices of kiwi banana green apple were delicious. Berry Smoothie was sweet and tangy.

Almond Milk Ice Cream - Ferrero Rocher: 4.5 stars This was a free gift so I wasn’t expecting much, but turned out to be wonderful! Rich chocolatey taste with generous chunks of dark chocolate and nuts.

Thai Tea Charcoal Croissant: 4.25 stars

Vegan Sausage Spaghetti Aglio Olio: 4 stars Would have been 4.5 stars if normal pasta noodle instead of zucchini noodles

Vegetables Vegan Bao: 3.75 stars
