Bistrot Gourmand — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We went there on a Friday night, and we were able to secure a table for three at 8 pm. We each ordered appetizers and main course. I initially planned to order chicken with mushrooms, but I ended up ordering their special, cuscus… my starter was a plate of scallops, which was grilled and came with lemony cream sauce. It was delicious, and I finished the sauce with some baguette. The cuscus dish came with a stew of veggies, a plate of sausages, meatballs and chicken wings. Oh my gosh, I couldn’t stop tasting the stew! It was amazing! I ordered apple tart with ice cream and whipped cream, and it was heavenly. Was here with partner. Neat restaurant also with a small terrace. The staff attentive and actually fast as well as the kitchen. The filet de boeuf from "Argentina" at the price of THB 960 unfortunately turned out very small. We were not asked about the side dishes; commune fries were served. Wine in carafes is not available, only by the bottle or by the glass from THB 260-320. The French wine offer is huge for Thai conditions. I absolutely HATE to throw 5 stars around. However this little gem in the heart of the HH bar district deserves it. I stopped off on one of the side streets for a refuge from the beer and bar crowd and managed to eat some lovely seafood including French oysters paired with French wine.
