Railway Restaurant at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

July 2025 I was excited to try the buffet breakfast at Railway Restaurant, having enjoyed a dinner there in the past and loving another restaurant called Coast which located in Centara Resort also. I visited on a Saturday morning, and the place was nearly full—bustling with energy and a lively atmosphere.

The restaurant's interior is charming and unique, with multiple seating areas both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor section offers lovely views of a beautifully maintained garden. I chose to dine inside but enjoyed my post-breakfast drink outside, taking in the serene surroundings.

The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring a smoothie station, fruits and salads, cereals, an egg station with omelettes and fried eggs cooked fresh to order, hot and cold food stations and gluten free section.

However, I was disappointed to spot a cockroach crawling along the wall near the hot food station. This was off-putting and made me hesitant to try items from the buffet trays.

On a positive note, the fried eggs I tried were freshly cooked and delicious, and the omelettes looked appealing.

Overall rating: Food 3 stars, Atmosphere & Ambiance 4 stars, Service 3.5 - 4 stars. But Hygiene needs improvement. I hope the management addresses the cockroaches issue, as the restaurant has so much...

จริงๆ แล้วมาพักและฝากท้องมื้อแรกของวันไว้กับ Railway restaurant หลายครั้งแล้วแต่ก็ยังไม่เคยรีวิวสักที ต้องบอกเลยว่าไลน์อาหารเช้านี้ที่ไม่ได้หวือหวามากนัก เป็นไลน์อาหารประเภทเดิมๆ หมุนเวียนเปลี่ยนเมนูไปเรื่อยๆ ไลน์อาหารมีตั้งแต่เมนูไข่ ก๋วยเตี๋ยว ข้าวมันไก่ เมนูพวกนี้สั่ง Custom make กับเชฟได้เลย ฝั่งจีนจะมีขนมจีบ ซาลาเปาเป็นหลัก ฝั่งไทยถ้าแบบดั้งเดิมเลยจะเป็นข้าวต้ม หรือถ้าแบบหนักๆ หน่อยก็จะเป็นข้าวกับกับข้าว ซึ่งเท่าที่สังเกตมากับข้าวส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นแนวอาหารเพื่อสุขภาพ มีไส้กรอกหมู ไก่อันใหญ่ๆ ด้วย ไลน์ขนมปังก็มีให้เลือกหลากหลายเช่นกัน ส่วนตัวไม่ค่อยกินขนมปังสักเท่าไรเนื่องจากกินบ่อยอยู่แล้ว ไหนๆ มาเที่ยวทั้งที่ก็ต้องกินอาหารให้หลากหลายบ้าง ถ้าใครกำลังไดเอทหรือคุมน้ำหนักอยู่แนะนำไลน์ซีเรียล กับไลน์ผลไม้ เราสามานถเลือกผลไม้ให้เชฟทำสมูทตี้ให้กินได้ หรือจะเลือกหยิบเมนูสำเร็จรูปก็ได้ ส่วนตัวชอบกินผลไม้สดตามฤดูกาลของที่นี่มาก เป็นผลไม้ที่รสชาตดีมากๆ อย่างรอบที่ไปล่าสุดมีลองกอง รสชาตหวานฉ่ำ กินไปเยอะจนแทบจะเหมาทั้งถาดเลย 55 สำหรับชากาแฟ มีทั้งแบบสั่ง Custom make หรือเดินไปกดเองที่เครื่องออโต้ ถ้ากดเองไม่เป็นให้น้องๆ พนักงานช่วยแนะนำได้ รสชาตอาหารบอกได้เลยว่าค่อนข้างคงที่ ไม่ได้หวานโดด เค็มโดด ออกแนวกลมกล่อม เลยทำให้กินได้เรื่อยๆ ไม่เบื่อ โซนที่นั่งมีทั้งโซน Indoor กับโซน Outdoor เลือกนั่งเองได้เลย Restaurant นี้มี Dress code ด้วยนะ ไม่ชุดว่ายน้ำ ไม่เสื้อคุมอาบน้ำ ไม่เดินเท้าเปล่า แล้วก็ผู้ชายไม่ใส่เสื้อแขนกุด บรรยากาศการกินก็สบายๆ ชิลๆ ไม่ได้มีพิธีรีตองอะไรนอกจากเรื่อง Dress code อย่างเดียว พนักงานไม่ว่าจะเป็นส่วนบริการด้านหน้า หรือเชฟให้บริการดีมากๆ เลย คอยสังเกตและให้ความช่วยเหลือ อาหารก็เติมเรื่อยๆ ไม่ต้องกลัวว่าบางอย่างจะหมดไว โดยรวมแล้วแนะนำ Restaurant นี้สำหรับสายรักษาสุขภาพ กับสายที่กินมื้อเช้ารสไม่จัดจ้าน Breakfast ที่นี่ขึ้นอยู่กับ Package โรงแรมที่จองมา (บางแพคต้องจ่ายเงินเพิ่ม ลองคุยกับ Receiption ดูได้)

I've stayed at this hotel and had breakfast at Railway Restaurant many times, but this is my first time reviewing it. The breakfast spread is quite consistent, offering a variety of familiar options that rotate regularly. You can find everything from eggs and noodles to congee and stir-fries. For those who prefer something lighter, there's a cereal bar and a fresh fruit station. The fruits are always seasonal and incredibly fresh. I remember eating so many longans during my last visit that I almost cleared the entire tray! For coffee and tea, you can order custom drinks or use the self-service machines. The staff is happy to assist if you need help. The food is consistently well-prepared, with balanced flavors that aren't too sweet or salty. The seating area includes both indoor and outdoor options. There's a dress code in place, which prohibits swimwear, bathrobes, bare feet, and sleeveless shirts for men. Despite the dress code, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The staff, both at the front desk and in the kitchen, are incredibly attentive and helpful. They constantly replenish the food items. Overall, I highly recommend Railway Restaurant for health-conscious individuals and those who prefer a milder breakfast.

It doesn't get much better than this! The Railway Restaurant in the beautiful & historic Centara Grand Hua Hin is an alfresco dining experience to savor. The open air old world charm is just the beginning.

The menu includes a selection of both western & Thai foods as well as a curated list of wines & cocktails. The combination of delicious food, generous portions and creative plating creates a true value for money. It's not inexpensive but is definitely worth the price.

The staff at Railway Restaurant are consistently among the best with gracious & attentive service that allows you to completely relax and enjoy your evening.
