Fresh seafood, pricey but worth it!
It's located in the small alley near yaowarat road. Restaurant quite small and needs to go upstairs for dining at 2 floor.
I tried a la carte, overall food is very fresh cause they have their own supply and came big portion: Fried river prawn with almond batter and truffle sauce very fresh river prawn, chewy and tender go really well with creamy truffle, the only bad thing is batter too thick and soggy. 2.Grilled cheese scallops in butter lemon sauce tender scallops combined with richness of cheese and lemon butter sauce. 3.Stir fried chilli and salt squid I dont like this menu, the chilli and salt too sweet, squid also too rubbery for me. 4.Po-taek (spicy seafood soup) fresh mussels, shrimp and squid with tangy, spicy and fresh soup 5.Fried rice with crab - like normal 6.Cocoruby / THIS ONE YOU SHOULD TRY it's not too sweet, the water chestnut and coconut filling came hot with smoky coconut milk ice cream, really yummy and rare to find nice one like this.
Service is good, staffs nice Have many payment channels like pay by Thai qr code or...
Read moreFOOD POISONING So I went to eat here about 4 days ago. Had a great experience. Food tasted wonderful but the next day I had to go to the hospital because of food poisoning. This seems to be a reoccurring issue at this restaurant since most 1 star reviews describe this exact same scenario. Seafood can be extremely dangerous if not stored or prepared well. Please take note of this if you plan to visit this seafood restaurant.
I'm not writing this story as some angry foreigner who doesn't have a strong stomach. I went to this restaurant together with my Thai girlfriend who also got sick from the food! Also I've been living in Thailand for years now and can say that my stomach can endure quite a lot at this point. But both me and my girlfriend had to visit the hospital after throwing up for hours between 2am and 6am. Took 2 days to recover from this adventure.
I've taken plenty of photos of the food and had no prior hatred towards this restaurant. Came here for a good time after I saw lots of positive Instagram videos from influencers at...
Read moreDining at The Seafood Cafe and Restaurant this evening has been very enjoyable. We ordered the set menu for 3 where you pick a dish from each section and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The grilled lobster in garlic butter was a showstopper. It was huge and the meat was chunky and tender. It’s a classic dish and was perfectly prepared. The crab fried rice was so good with chunks of crab meat on top. We also ordered the crab with pepper sauce which was perfectly prepared as well as the jumbo prawn coated in almonds. My paradise punch mocktail was very cutely presented and came with a mini goblet of grapes. Our dessert was mango with sticky rice which was highly recommended by our waitress. She was so right and was happy we ordered it. We’re so glad we had our dinner here, the food was amazing, you won’t be...
