K Panich Mango Sticky Rice - A Slice of Tropical Heaven I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a dessert that took my taste from "K Panich Mango Sticky Rice". This traditional Thai dish has always intrigued me, and I can confidently say, it did not disappoint. The presentation was impeccable. The sticky rice was neatly molded into a small mound, glistening with a slight sheen from the coconut milk it was steamed with. Beside it lay perfectly sliced, sun-kissed mangoes that looked juicy and inviting. A sprinkling of sesame seeds added a touch of elegance to the whole setup. The first bite was pure bliss. The sticky rice, warm and slightly chewy, had absorbed the sweet richness of the coconut milk, making it creamy and flavorful. It wasn’t overly sweet, which balanced beautifully with the natural sweetness of the mango slices. The mangoes were fresh and ripe, providing a burst of tropical flavor that complemented the gentle sweetness of the rice. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors - the chewiness of the rice, the creaminess of the coconut, and the juicy freshness of the mangoes. Whether you're a dessert aficionado or someone looking to try something new, this dish is a must-try. Highly recommended for its delightful combination of flavors and its ability to transport you to a tropical paradise with each bite in Bangkok.

We had heard so much about mango sticky rice we decided one would not be enough, so we compared a 50 thai baht, 80 thai baht, and 130 thai baht (K. Panich) mango sticky rice. Let's start off with the mango. The quality of the mango varied between the dishes. The best was from K. Panich at 130 thai baht. Next, the rice. The rice from K. Panich was cooked to perfection as one of the others we tried the rice was a bit hard. The rice from K. Panich did have the best sticky texture. They have definitely nailed their recipe and it is the best for texture. However, the flavour of the sticky rice we found very similar to the 80 thai baht mango sticky rice that we had. Also, the 80 thai baht came with three different colours of rice that each had a different flavour. All of them came with crunchy toppings, providing an exciting new texture that blends well with the soft mango. The portion of the rice and mango from K. Panich was bigger. Overall, we concluded that K. Panich was better quality and quantity, but the flavours of all the mango sticky rice's we tried were very similar, so we think it does come down to the cooking process and choice of mango for which sticky rice is the best. Clearly, this place has been making this dish for a long time and have the technique down to perfection.

🥭 Mango Sticky Rice [5/5] As highly recommended by numerous YouTubers and even awarded by Michelin, their Mango Sticky Rice exceeded my expectations. The mango had just the right level of sweetness and texture, while the sticky rice was fragrant, with the subtle saltiness of the coconut milk serving as a wonderful complement. The addition of dry mung beans provided a delightful crispy contrast to the soft mango and sticky rice, preventing any sense of monotony. The only minor drawback for me was that the sticky rice was slightly firmer than I prefer. 🤝 Service [4/5] The Mango Sticky Rice was prepared on the spot, so you might need to wait for 5-10 minutes, depending on the queue. However, the waitstaff were patient, friendly, and greeted us with warm smiles. 🏞️ Ambience [3.5/5] The shop exuded an antique charm and offered seating, although it could get rather warm during the noon hours. 💲 Value [3/5] Priced at 125 baht for half a mango with approximately half a bowl of sticky rice, it's somewhat on the pricier side, but I found it reasonable considering the quality of the dish.

This is by far one of the best mango sticky rice places in Bangkok. Open since 1932, they've been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for six years running now. I think the secret is their Nam Dok Mai mangoes which are super fresh and sweet. It's 125baht for a plate and you can sit down at the Tiew Tanao Noodle shop across the road to enjoy the food. The mangoes are served with freshly cooked sticky rice, a sweet & salty coconut milk sauce, and a sprinkling of roasted mung beans. There really is no better combination of textures and flavours - it's like the taste of Thailand in every bite. We had a fresh coconut juice and a watermelon smoothie too. For me, this is the perfect mango sticky rice and the best I've ever tried. So is it Michelin level mango sticky rice? 100% yes, they really are worth it. Found this place by accident. Kor Panit is one of the michelin star street food and located close to the Wat Complex. I think I understand why this place is awarded Michelin Star. The mango is so buttery and has unique nutty flavour, it was really good. They will also tell you honestly when they don’t have good mango or the mango is a bit sour. The sticky rice is just right to my Indonesian palate: not too sweet, soft but still has texture, and so creamy. I think they have done well cooking it with the right amount of coconut milk. Love it! What made this dish taste better than the other mango sticky rice we tried is the balance of the flavour and the tight control quality of food. It is a bit more expensive than another mango sticky rice such as in Jodd Fairs but trust me you will never forget how it taste even after you’re back home.

A famous mango sticky rice located at/near Bangkok's Chinatown. It's located just on the sidewalk of a not too busy street off the bigger main road. The place has small stools and chairs for you to sit at. But there's generally only a few tables available for sitting and eating. The mangoes at this store are very good. That day I ate it the mangoes were from the Kanchanaburi region that produces an extremely fragrant and sweet mango. It was delicious. Unfortunately I felt like the rice was okay but definitely not the best I've had. The rice is adequately salty but a touch too sweet. And it could potentially be a little harder and more chewy. That being said this is a good mango sticky rice store if you're in the area. I bought back the mangoes from the mango store to eat at home.
