Café Lipe — Restaurant in Satun Province

Set out this morning to find a place for a great breakfast. Google maps is my friend. Walked down Walking Street and ready to turn around when Cafe Lipe came up on the radar screen.

Walked down the beach to find this great gem on Pattaya Beach. Great place under the trees right on the beach with a great breeze.

Chose scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese, a huge fruit plate and cafe latte. The portions are great and the food was excellent. Also got a few samples of the great cakes they make on the house to try. Yum.

The management and staff are spot on with the service and you don't have to "remind" them like you may in other places. Service with a smile.

Got stuck here at the end of breakfast due to the rain passing by so also had a chance to try the homemade iced tea. Excellent.

Looking forward to having a few more meals here even though I am staying on the other side of the island.

May still be here for lunch if the rain doesn't...

definitely the best place on koh lipe. the owners are pioneers and their house/café and resort (small, cosy, authentic) is one of the first on the island. if it’s not to busy you perhaps may ask for photos from the time of founding. it’s breathtaking to see, how this island looked in the old days. the owners are strongly committed to the environment and organize weekly cleanups on the pristine neighboring islands. the owners really care about the island and their guests!i guess it must be heartbreaking for them to see what else goes on with that beautiful island. the food & beverage they serve is amazing and from best quality. they also bake their own bread! so go for their sandwiches! there is nothing more relaxing on koh lipe than enjoying time in their oasis of lush vegetation, shade from the massive trees, hospitality and a fantastic view...

Best shop on the island. Period. Being one of the few originals, the vibe is just lovely. For ten years, I drop by almost every year and it hasn't lost its charm. Great coffee and shakes, wonderful Thai food made by Bee herself and handmade cake baked daily by Darius. Apart from that it's also one of the best spots to just chill, watch the waves and get to know others over a chat. Darius also organizes the weekly Trash Hero beach cleanup and if you are interested in doing a tour with a longtail, ask for Kiang. He's a treat.

Especially for newbies, this is a great starting point to get to know the island, its people and gather valuable information as Bee and Darius know everyone and everything.
