Quietly tucked away near one end of Pan Road is Panna Sourdough cafe. So if you wanna come here, you have to have your eyes peeled open for the signage. Nearest BTS would be St Louis.

This cafe is spacious and definitely looks like a nice place for someone who enjoys a quiet time. However, not much of a view though. But who cares right? As long as there is good food to enjoy.

So... Panna Sourdough has choices such as muffins, tarts, cake slices and most importantly, their specialty, sourdough bread which comes in different flavours such as Mexican, classic, black olive, dill&garlic, rye, and wheat with seeds.

The ambient is serene and relaxing. The cafe also offers a choice of mezzanine seating.

The menu is simple yet interesting.

The cafe serve pork but they do not use lard in their bread as verified with staff. So if you are a Muslim or travelling with one, this place is an option.

We ordered the tomato soup and also the mushroom soup. The soup is tasty and rich in flavours. And it is served with a slice of toasted bread.

Another thing we ordered, is the sourdough muffin with scramble eggs (just eggs with no fillings), as well as slices of the Dill&Garlic Sourdough bread.

The breads are soft and fluffy after being heated up. Taste wise, I would rate it 10/10. Prepped and baked to perfection is the way to describe the bread. The sourdough is well made to fit its name. The dill is flavourful and the aroma of the dill in the mouth floats up to your nasal passage and bring a new level of hype.

The muffin is soft and fluffy as well. Would be great if order with sides to build a full burger.

So, if you are in the...

I recently visited Panna Sourdough, a cozy coffee shop and restaurant that specializes in serving delicious breakfast dishes. Located in the heart of Bangkok, this place is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot.

As soon as you step inside, you're greeted with the warm aroma of fresh coffee and baked goods. I tried their signature sourdough bread and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The coffee was also excellent - smooth and rich in flavor.

In terms of food, the breakfast menu is creative and diverse. I had the avocado toast topped with poached eggs, and microgreens, and it was simply divine. The portion size was generous, and the flavors perfectly complemented each other. Another dish I would recommend would be the shredded that sandwich, and above all the signature brioche bread.

The ambiance of the café is also worth mentioning. The interior is tastefully decorated with a mix of wood and industrial elements, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for an overall excellent dining experience.

For the NoMads amongst you, this is a perfect spot to spend a few hours. If you have a conference call or you need to work on your computer, as it is very quiet, and we also has a separated upper section which you can handle your conference call in strict privacy.

If you're looking for a top-notch breakfast spot in Bangkok, Panna Sourdough is definitely worth a visit. I will definitely be back next time...

We were there slightly before the opening hours but the staff were so nice that they let us in earlier too (thank you!!!)

Food was so so so good. Must order:

  1. Crab cake - You can find legit crab meat inside, and it’s fried to perfection, very flavourful combination without the cream being overwhelming.
  2. Potato Confit - The portion size could be bigger as there were only 4 pieces, but the potatoes were crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. It went so well with the grated parmesan cheese.
  3. Strawberry French Toast - There is a layer of caramel at the side of the French toast, giving an extra layer to the dish, I’m not a strawberry person but I enjoyed this a lot, it wasn’t too sweet and strawberry sauce felt just right.

Could give the beef sandwich & avocado toast a try too, nothing wow but still pretty good stuff. Coffee was also pretty decent.

I took away a loaf of the olive sourdough bread and it was still moist after 2 days in the fridge and after I microwaved it. I will be back again to try the other dishes!

(P.s. Food was so good that we forgot to take photo of the rest...
