Shady neighborhood, the food was terrible
If you are looking for a tasty persian food, don't come here
I am from Iran and know what persian food should taste as and it is not the crap they serve here
Most of the food was microwaved
Family size kebab-800 bath and no rice. You have to pay additional 300thb for that...none of them were fresh
Kaskbademjon with no kask. Microwaved and the white sauce on the side eas neither yoghurt or kask...
3.mastmosir- was yoghurt with garlic...not mosir. Both this and the Greek yoghurt were not creamy as it should be but watery and tasteless
The bread, 30thb each is not freshly made
Ghormeh sabzi...small portion, microwaved and with no dry lime in it
The only positive thing was the homemade dough that they had
They also charged us for the butter in rice
Our bill was over 2000thb and they do not accept credit card of any kind. Cash only... That is very strange as even small vendors in Thailand accept cards. Again this reflects the owners cheap minded thinking to save money as he/she want to avoid 3% fee on their overcharged and tasteless food
So my advice is to avoid...
Read moreMohsen was always a mediocre persian restaurant in Bangkok. But due to lack of competition it got even worse. When the owner himself is not in Thailand and his wife is in charge quality is significantly more acceptable but when he himself is here even that mediocre quality drops. After almost a year decided to give it a go again and ordered ( cause have no other option!!!) the food I got despite the tiny portion, quality was awful disgusting two piece of dried tasteless stick that served as koobideh!!! It was a horrible experience even for Mohsen restaurant. Like, I told myself how lower can they go from the last experience? Oh they can alot. Charge more but serve something edible Mr Naghdi. Thats a disgrace to persian cuisine dont serve as a Persian restaurant. Nothing about this food was genuine sir… nothing. I would gave it a zero if I could. And for me after decade of Mohsen. No...
Read morelet down by the quality of naan, and first plate of kebabs was not hot.
Awful Naan bread probably cooked on a stove top, and reheated , very thick and doughy. It's not hard to buy (if u can't make) very good bread freeze it and serve it hot (heat in oven not microwave) when needed.
kebabs were tender and juicy, the so called "kashk" was a joke, some sort of liquid "soap" with no taste, rice was okay and a good variety of items on the menu. Good Hummus (tasted like canned hummus but it wasnt bad at all) egg plant plate lacked flavour.
The bean rice (lubia polo) was very tasty but to me a bit salty and needing much more beans. (Not a bad thing in a hot climate when your body needs more salt.)
No alcohol beer is served along with usual array of softdrinks etc , clean shop. Staff are polite and do try their best.
Overall worth a visit with good enough Persian food...
