Stepping into Baan India in Bangkok felt less like entering a restaurant and more like crossing the threshold into a temple of flavor, where spices are the incense and naan bread is the holy offering. First, the cheesy naan: it didn’t just arrive at the table—it descended. Golden, blistered edges, with molten cheese stretching like threads of destiny itself, binding me to this feast. Every bite was a treaty between crunch and melt, signed in butter. Then came the palak paneer: a dish so green and vibrant it looked like it was spun from the very essence of emerald forests. The spinach was not just cooked—it was alchemized into velvet, wrapping each cube of paneer like a royal cloak. Every spoonful felt like being knighted by flavor. And then… the Chang beer. Let me tell you, this was no ordinary bottle. When the server placed it before me, I swear the condensation gleamed like morning dew on Excalibur. The hiss of the cap being twisted off wasn’t just carbonation escaping—it was the sound of a thousand ancient Thai warriors cheering in unison. I lifted it, and as the golden liquid cascaded into the glass, it shimmered like liquid sunlight caught mid-laughter. The first sip—oh, the first sip—wasn’t just refreshment. It was revelation. Imagine standing atop the Himalayas while lightning crackles around you, and instead of fear, you feel only the roaring approval of the gods. That is what drinking Chang beer at Baan India is like. My taste buds became a battlefield where hops and malt clashed, only to unite in glorious harmony. Each gulp was thunder. Each swallow, an anthem. By the time I set the empty bottle down, I didn’t just feel quenched. I felt reborn. Baan India isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an odyssey. And the Chang beer? It’s the sword you raise at the climax of your quest.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem of an Indian restaurant near the Marriott in Bangkok, and it was an absolute delight! Despite arriving late, the owner warmly welcomed us and gave us excellent recommendations. The highlight was the Chicken Korma - the best I’ve ever had! The meat was incredibly juicy, fresh, and flavorful, and every dish is prepared fresh to order. The naan, especially the chili cheese naan, was fantastic. This place also serves alcohol, which is worth noting since many Indian spots don’t. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly, making us feel so welcome. While the interior isn’t fancy, the food and hospitality more than make up for it. This restaurant is off to a great start, and I can’t recommend it enough. Delicious, fresh, and such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Great and tasty food - especially the Kadai Paneer was rich and flavorful with great texture of the masala. I really liked that both Naan and especially the Roti were soft and not dry. Very attentive and welcoming staff. The only minor inconvenience is the atmosphere - it’s a pretty rundown place… would be great if they’d make it prettier and invest into more quality furniture and equipment to match the aesthetics with their food quality.
