I saw the ad for this on Instagram (as one of many new businesses advertised on social media). When I got here, I noticed alot of the customers were from China, like as though it's been on their agenda to come here on their break to Bangkok. The member of staff told me, sit-down eating requires reservation in advance and they're fully booked for the day. So opted for take away. This business is very small, maybe accommodate no more than around 18 people at a time for sit-in. I ordered the 2 piece meal set which was 220 baht (at time of writing) which is equivalent to £5, and this price is in line with UK prices for a two piece meal but without drink. I was told the food will take 20 minutes to cook as everything is cooked from scratch on order unlike KFC or other fried chicken places. I didn't mind the wait, I waited by sitting on the stool by the door, and witnessed so many Grab delivery drivers come & go, whilst tourists enjoying their food. By the time my food arrived, it was piping hot, as it just come out of the fryer. There was a significant size different between the breast and wing piece, it's like the former is triple the size, I'm guessing that's how they cut the breast piece. I got the member of staff (who says she was one of the owners of the establishment, spoken in an American accent) to put the sauces on top of the food, whilst doing do I made brief conversation asking why not expand if demand is that high ? She just explained, it'd be too difficult and so on. She was friendly & well spoken. Anyway, the fried chicken was exceptionally good, afterall it's just chicken with coating which gets deep fried. I have to admit, the coating was quiet thick, which is what I like (not everyone's cup of tea) which may have given the illusion of the breast piece being bigger than it actually was. I can't give this the full 5 stars for SERVICE simply because the premise is far too small for taking large volume of orders, and customers (or tourists) should be allowed to come and dine in without booking in advance. But overall, I'll give the entire experience a 5 star simply because there's other things that more than make up for...
Read moreNot worth visiting at all. And not worth all the hype. We went on 1st of Jan as first meal of the year...., turned out extreamly disappointing.
We pre ordered the chicken parts prior to arrival. When we arrived the order came wrongly missing chicken thighs. We informed the shop, they offered to make new ones doe our table.. And ended up waited almost 45 mins til the thighs arrvied. We paid the bills before the chicken thighs arrived as we had to be at somewhere else after.
Once arrives, we cut the piece open and found inner part was not cooked, 40% of the piece were red. Tried to inform the shop, they argued that its how they usually served to ensure its juicy-ness, which to me this is the not right argument, understand the meat should not be dry. But this was "red" tone meaning its not cooked at the right time.. (the staff took my plate so i did not take the picture)
So i told them this is not acceptable, so the shop said they will have to make new one will take another 15 mins.. so we were not ok to wait anymore. Spending hour waitng for a simple fried chicken thigh which is not even cooked properly. We tried other parts of the chickens were also not impressed. Even KFC or texas chicken considered better.
At the end we told them we dont want to wait for the new piece anymore, the waiting time is too much for us already.. so a staff walked to our table and put 48 B.- on the table and said heres the money for the chicken you don't want. We were shocked and wow by how rude the shop treated us.
We left and did not take your money. Its rather rude, to do this to a customer. We do not need your 48 b. What we want is a good food and service that worth the price... what an amazing new year...

If you’re a fried chicken lover, this place is a must-visit! 🍗 The chicken at Henryfry is served in surprisingly large portions—I was stunned at first but ended up eating it all without leaving a crumb! 😅 The chicken is freshly fried to order, with a crispy outer layer and tender, juicy meat inside. The flavor is not overly intense, but pairing it with the restaurant’s signature sauce takes it to another level. 🔥
The dish also comes with pickled cucumbers 🥒, which many claim are delicious. I found them to have a subtle sweetness reminiscent of fruit rather than the sharp sourness I expected to cut through the richness. While I personally prefer fresh cucumbers, the pickles here have their charm.
I also tried the Fettucinee Carbonara, 🍝 which had perfectly cooked al dente pasta. However, the cream sauce didn’t stand out compared to my go-to spot for carbonara. As for the salad, 🥗 the dressing was on the lighter side, which might suit those who prefer mild flavors.
Important Tip: Reservations are mandatory—no walk-ins allowed. 📞 I had to wait a full month to secure a spot, but it was worth the effort! For those looking to enjoy homestyle fried chicken in a cozy atmosphere, this place should be on your list. ✨
Overall Rating: 8/10 A great experience, especially for fried chicken enthusiasts.
