Curry Kulture @ Pratunam — Restaurant in Thanon Phaya Thai Subdistrict

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, THE BENGALI RECEPTIONIST WITH GLASSES IS FRAUD!!!

In our entire 7 day thailand trip from Bangkok-Phuket-Krabi-PhiPhi, we never paid any service charge and VAT at any restaurant. But this guy, who works like an agent standing outside in the Pratunam market street and picking up Indians to run his scam. He first talks to you in a sweet manner, then convinces you to his very ordinary looking restaurant upstairs where the prices are already very inflated! After having the food, he hands you over a bill that contains 10% service charge and 15% VAT. So your bill becomes the same as you are dining in a 4-star hotel. Then he argues with you that this is very necessary to keep the restaurant running and blah blah. We had a flight and were rushing to the airport thus I did not indulge with him more and left after paying him. But I request you all the tourists to not fall into his trap.
