It's rare I give 5 stars. So, where do I begin? Paris.
It's so cliché to say the best croissants I consistently ate were in Paris. But it's true. What's not to love in its artistic quality - deep buttery flavor, light and crispy layered texture outside and ever so slight chewy dough inside. With each bite you hum...Poetry... This is my loving memory of croissants.
Here I was, craving a cappuccino while lunching next door to Kenn's. With the waiter's smiling recommendation of "the best croissants in Bangkok" I figured they can't do too bad of a cappuccino. My wife followed me into Kenn's, an elegant little shop with a display of croissants in different styles and a beautiful espresso machine engineered by whom I now consider a true barista.
Moments later I returned with my delicious, Third Wave Coffee Cappuccino, that was seriously well-made and delicious. Bravo! Then I pulled the croissant from the bag. The weight was familiar to me like a long-past memory of excitement. My wife and her friends chatted away while sharing the one she bought. As if hiding at the end of the table, I discreetly took a sip of my capp, then took a bite of my croissant. Yes, I literally blurted out in a soft voice, with heads turning towards me... Oh...
Read moreTaste good and crispy like a good croissant should be. But they need to improve on customer service. I wanted to order on the day but they’re sold out which is totally understandable. Good for them...
The thing is, when i tried to contact the shop, they didnt answer the phone calls. So i used FB messenger, the page’s admin suggested me to order via Line App and he’s assured that i will get what I want when I made it one day in advance. (Which is weird, i have never known any shops that wont accept orders from any channels possible). I ordered via Line App on 28 Dec, hoping to get the orders on 29 as their FB admin suggested. They didnt even read my messages. Then, i took the screenshot and sent it to their FB and the answer i got was, “they should get back to you today (29 Dec) but you should call to make sure”.
I dont know what kind of business are they running here but i will not go back...

Stop in for an almond croissant and a coffee or a plain croissant and a glass of Moët—whatever you’d like. You won’t be disappointed with this gem in the heart of Thailand. Just a short walk from the Chong Nonsi SkyTrain station—this is the perfect place to start your Saturday morning. It can be quite busy during the morning rush, but they are quite efficient at managing the orders. If you’d like to grab your croissant and sit out in the rear garden, you won’t be disappointed, or you can sit in the front of the store and watch the customers pour in.
A lovely little place that I can’t recommend more.
