If you’re looking for a place in Bangkok that delivers both on the food and the vibe, Vertigo TOO is one of those rare spots that really gets it right. It’s up on the 60th floor of the Banyan Tree, and the moment you step into the discreet venue, the view just hits you—panoramic city lights stretching out in every direction. It’s got that “wow” factor without feeling over-the-top.
The lighting inside is warm and just dim enough to feel intimate, with little touches like starry lights on the ceiling that give it a dreamy, almost cosmic feel. Live music plays in the background—smooth, not intrusive—and it all comes together to set a really chilled, sophisticated tone. If you’re there on a lucky night, the band takes requests!
Now, the food. The Hokkaido scallops? Unreal. Maybe I got lucky but these were the best tasting and perfectly cooked scallops of my life. The salmon belly starter is super fresh, with a punchy Thai-style element that wakes up your taste buds in the best way. It’s that perfect mix of richness and acidity.
But the star for me was the Isaan steak. Tender, juicy, and packed with bold northeastern Thai flavors. It comes with this spicy dipping sauce that brings the whole dish to life—super satisfying and not something you find on every fine dining menu.
Service is genuinely great too. Everyone’s friendly and attentive, without being too much. You can tell the staff knows their stuff, from the wine pairings to the cocktail recommendations. Special thanks to Film and Jimmy for making it a lovely night.
If you’re in Bangkok and want a night out that feels a little special—amazing views, thoughtful food, cool ambiance—Vertigo TOO is totally worth it. It’s the kind of place you leave already thinking about...
Read moreOur experience at Vertigo TOO Hidden Sky Bar & Restaurant was far from the high standards one would expect from a renowned venue. Despite booking three months in advance with a substantial deposit, what was anticipated to be an enjoyable and memorable evening quickly turned into an exercise in frustration, disorganisation, and sheer disappointment—especially for our international guests, who left feeling deeply let down.
When rain arrived, any semblance of order disappeared. It became immediately apparent that the staff had no contingency plan for inclement weather, resulting in absolute chaos. There was no clear direction provided, and guests were left to navigate the confusion alone, with no offer of alternative arrangements or even temporary cover. In a venue of this calibre, one would expect a minimum level of preparedness, yet the team seemed entirely unprepared.
What made matters worse was the behaviour of the bar and restaurant attendants, who were dismissive and rude. Attempts to get assistance were met with indifference, and the manager’s attitude only compounded the frustration. Rather than stepping in to manage the situation or show empathy, the manager seemed unwilling to address concerns or offer any meaningful support.
For a venue promising a fine dining experience, Vertigo TOO Hidden Sky Bar & Restaurant failed spectacularly to deliver on the basics of hospitality. The lack of organisation and courtesy left all of us, especially our international guests, deeply disappointed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this venue to anyone expecting quality service or a memorable evening, as the experience was ultimately a waste of...
Read moreWe visited this rooftop bar with a reservation through Hungry Hub, and the atmosphere was absolutely stunning — the view, the lighting, the overall vibe were all perfect for a memorable evening.
What really stood out was the service. Film, Tai, and Chet took excellent care of us throughout the night. They were attentive, friendly, and even offered us a complimentary item after we had finished our set course when they noticed we still had some wine left. That kind of attention to detail was genuinely appreciated and made us feel well taken care of.
However, the food left a lot to be desired. The duck confit bao was unfortunately overcooked — it lacked the tender, confited texture and came off more like a deep-fried duck nugget. The lamb was under-seasoned, overly gamey for both my partner and me, and the jus was surprisingly bland. The seabass steak suffered the same fate — dry and overcooked. The cheesecake (“exotic cheese”) had a grainy texture, likely due to being overbaked, and the white chocolate outer layer wasn’t tempered properly, so it lacked that clean crack and crunch you'd expect.
The only dish that stood out in a positive way was the yellowfin tuna tapas — fresh and well-balanced.
All things considered, while the atmosphere and service were wonderful, the food didn’t live up to the price point, especially at full price. A great spot for drinks and the view, but the dining experience fell short of...
