During our trip to Bangkok's China Town, we decided to visit the Royal India Restaurant to satisfy our craving for Indian cuisine in Thailand. Despite initial apprehensions due to its unassuming exterior, the positive Google Maps reviews spurred us to give it a chance. Our hopes wavered as we approached, but once we tasted the food, they were immediately reignited.
The dining experience at Royal India Restaurant turned out to be a delightful surprise. The moment we took our first bites, any doubts were dispelled. The flavors of the Indian dishes were simply exquisite, exceeding our expectations in every way. From aromatic curries to perfectly cooked rotis, every dish was a testament to their culinary prowess.
Though the restaurant's appearance might not be as inviting, the true gem lies within its kitchen. For any Indian missing the familiar tastes of home while in Thailand, this establishment comes highly recommended. The journey from uncertainty to culinary satisfaction was a memorable one, reminding us not to judge a book...
Read moreWorst possible indian restaurant in the whole of Bangkok. Ordered 660 baht worth of food , paneer tikka , mutton curry, lassi, naan, rice, saag paneer, thinking it would be a good meal. Was the worth thing to do, everything came out within 5 minutes didnt feel as the chef actually made the food. 100% ready made frozen and then reheated in the microwave. I have never been to a indian restaurant where food is made within 5 minutes. The lassi was awful tasted processed. The currys was half cold and the paneer (cheese) tasted out of date.Maybe the owner is lazy or they dont care about quality food. Could not eat it all finished half of the food and left quickly. Staff are lazy do not come to you as eager to serve you food and was told the food is fresh but with a grin. If you want diarahhea or stomach cancer this is the place to go. However there are many quality indian restaurants in Bangkok that you could choose other...

I only come to Bangkok once a month so I brought a few meals to take home to freeze and eat as a treat on a Saturday night like we do in Scotland. I bought Tarka daal Mutton curry Chicken vindaloo Mutton byrianni I added some cooked chicken to the tarka daal and kind of made it into a chicken dhansak, it was fabulous, Last night I had the mutton curry and added a few boiled potatoes, again fabulous Next week it will be chicken vindaloo I will save a little of the curry gravy to have with the mutton byrianni the next week The prices are half of normal Indian restuarant food in Bangkok I will post how the next two meals are But honestly ,I have been eating Indian food for over 50 years and would highly...
