A Taste of Home in a Cozy Corner Tucked away in an unassuming location, Royal Rasoi offers an experience that is part culinary nostalgia, part surprising delight. This small, cozy restaurant doesn’t try to overwhelm with grandeur—instead, it invites you in like a friend’s home, and then quietly stuns with food that speaks straight to the soul. The dal was, quite simply, extraordinary. It had the unmistakable warmth of a home kitchen—rich, comforting, and infused with the kind of depth that only comes from a recipe passed down through generations. It was less restaurant fare and more “mum’s special,” capturing that elusive, heartwarming balance of simplicity and flavor. The cauliflower surprised me—in the best way. With a tangy-sweet glaze that played between sweet and sour, it was a creative take on a humble vegetable, transforming it into something addictive. Equally impressive was the jeera rice, where the aroma of cumin was perfectly balanced, and each grain was infused with flavor rather than simply serving as a neutral base. It paired wonderfully with the rest of the meal, elevating the overall experience. The bhaturas were everything one hopes for—fluffy, golden, and addictive. Not oily or heavy, just deliciously light and airy with the perfect chew. On the service front, the staff were friendly and helpful when present. However, there were noticeable stretches where no one was in the dining room, which disrupted the otherwise seamless atmosphere. A bit more attentiveness would take the guest experience from good to excellent. Overall, Royal Rasoi feels like a hidden gem—humble in size but generous in flavor. It delivers an experience that lingers not just on the palate, but in memory. A return visit is not a question of if, but when.

Delightful Indian Desserts in the Heart of Old Town Bangkok This Wednesday, I picked up an assortment of Indian desserts from a shop in the Pahurat area (Little India), Old Town Bangkok — and it was a true treat! The selection was not only beautiful to look at but also sparked real excitement among my team. It was a refreshing and flavorful experience to try something new together. If you’re ever passing through Pahurat, I highly recommend stopping by this shop. Whether you’re already a fan of Indian sweets or curious to try them for the first time, this place offers a variety that’s sure to impress.

Located in the heart of Bangkok, this charming restaurant offers a delightful array of delicious dishes and a variety of tempting sweets. Though the space is cozy with only 6-7 tables, the experience is still enjoyable. There is a unique aroma in the air, adding to the character of the place. While the food service was a little slow, the meal was definitely worth the wait. Overall, a great dining experience with flavorful food and a warm atmosphere.

Met an angel today at Royal Rasoi, Phahurat Market Bangkok. The lady who was the owner of that restaurant. Forgot to ask her name. Only few are such creations of God. We are pure vegetarians and were struggling in Bangkok finding the veg food n pure veg restaurant for us. Some how God guided us to to her. She served us super amazing delicious food that felt like home. I requested her to pack only one portion of rice n Daal for which I paid her 150 bhatt. She packed for me n my son, 4 Roti, Daal, 2 portions of Rice n special paneer Bhurji complimentary for my son. She also gave us a box full of Indian mithai complementary . Enjoyed the meal with lots to...
