Firstly, i wanna thank whoever that is who helped me change my initial timeslot because i couldnt make it back on time from the outskirts and also all the staffs on site, i was intending to give tips to the chef and waitress but left with only 4 pieces of 20baht, so sorry.
I came for the session after my original arranged one. Seems i was the only guy going for the full course. The chef serving me has a cool look vibe and speaks very softly. whoever you are, thank you for taking care of me. First look when they cut the fish, i wasnt thinking much highly of it. But when it goes into your mouth, u will regret what you think. They do better than some of the japanese chefs around. The number of different flavors exploding, freshness and the chef and waitress attentiveness is remarkable.
Chutoro was exceptionally good, that uni charcoal toast will melt you away. Not only that, they also have very insta-decor certainly a big thing for ladies to do photos.
It is very highly reccomended and only 10 seating per session, dont hesitate if you are still considering to book, for that price that service that freshness, marvellous. I am sold and...
Read moreI ordered the THB 1690 set course and it was the biggest disappointment during my trip to Bangkok. 1, the portion is unbelievably small. I left feeling hungry and I believe it's an afternoon tea size set course. If you're looking to have a proper meal (lunch/dinner) then this isn't the place. It took less than one hour to finish everything, which isn't usual for omasake, and most of the time I'm just waiting, so you can imagine how little food there is.
2, one of the course is chawanmushi but when I asked if there's any egg cuisine during booking, I was told no. I told them I don't eat eggs but I was still served chawanmushi, before I requested a change.
3, I only realised they charge extra 40 baht for water when I was about to pay because no one informed me that. I'm allergic to caffeine so I don't drink tea at all. I told them "water is fine" when they were about to serve me the complimentary green tea, and they said nothing about extra charge at that moment. In fact, I wouldn't even need water if I had knew there is so little...
Read moreManaged to secure a seating at Kozue on a weekday at 4pm. There was a cheaper lunch time menu but I was unable to get seatings for that.
The exterior of the venue is very aesthetic, but the door is meant for taking photos and there is another entrance to the actual venue. The interior is also eye catching with a huge tree in the middle. I would say some of the other venues which are slightly bigger have an even more beautiful interior but this is still nice. The space isn’t big similar to this fine dining omakase.
There were only 3 groups on the day itself, and there were 2 chefs attending to us. So I would say very good attentive and good service. Altogether there were 13 courses and I enjoyed every single items. A lot of showmanship being displayed as you can see how the master prepares each item and presents it to you. At the end, there was even a complimentary dessert.
All in all very happy with this affordable yet elegant...
