I recently had the misfortune of dining at Wine I love you, and I must say that it was a culinary nightmare from start to finish. While the establishment boasted live music as one of its few redeeming qualities, the rest of the experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Let's start with the food—or lack thereof. The caesar salad, which I foolishly hoped would set the tone for the meal, was merely average. However, any semblance of hope was promptly destroyed when my main course, the salmon, arrived at the table. It was not only burnt to a crisp, but it also lacked any discernible flavor. It was a tasteless, dry piece of fish that left me yearning for a refund.
Sadly, my disappointment didn't end there. One of my friends ordered the spaghetti carbonara, only to be met with a dish that was not only flavorless but also shockingly lacking in its key ingredient—pasta. I mean, isn't pasta supposed to be the star of a dish like this? Instead, they received what can only be described as a pitiful portion of noodles swimming in a sea of blandness. It was an insult to the very essence of Italian cuisine.
To make matters worse, the service was abysmal. My girlfriend's pizza, for instance, was inexplicably served a staggering 15 minutes after the other two main courses had already arrived. It's mind-boggling how a restaurant can fail to coordinate the delivery of a simple pizza with the rest of the meal. The delay left us frustrated and made it clear that the staff had no regard for basic timing and customer satisfaction.
Incredibly so, the pizza got worse. Either through sheer ineptitude or staggering egotism, the pizza was served without tomato sauce. Whether this served as a testament to the incompetence of the kitchen staff or a landmark to their apparent hatred of flavour is still yet to be decided
But wait, there's more. As if the underwhelming food and incompetent service weren't enough, I also had the pleasure of getting splinters on my arm from the table. Yes, you read that right. It seems that the establishment cares so little about the comfort and safety of its patrons that they can't even maintain their tables properly. It's simply unacceptable.
The sex on the beach should have been named a ‘disappointing encounter in Blackpool’. The cocktail lacked alcohol, flavour, and presumably any attempt by the bartender to create a passable drink
In conclusion, Wine I love you is a prime example of how a single positive aspect, such as live music, cannot compensate for a multitude of glaring faults. From the burnt and flavorless dishes to the abysmal service and even physical discomfort caused by the splintered table, this place fails on every level. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a different dining option. You deserve better than this...
Read moreI have attended the restaurant Wine I love you on Wednesday June 19, 2024 around 5.30pm. After we finished dinner I called the waitress requesting the bill, she I a woman dressed with black shirt and black trousers who I believe that it is the manager, she was beside my table. Then, I called her many times saying “check bill kap” but she passed in front of me (just one meter in front of me) without attending my request, even she was beside me and we were the only customers beside her, she didn’t even look at me, finally I had to raised my voice shouting “check bill kap” and then she looked at me with disdain and bad attitude, making a gesture that she had heard me from the beginning.
Then she brought me the bill and I politely asked her if they had included in the bill discount for happy hour discount of beer, and she yelled at me “I already discounted.”
This waitress deliberately ignored me and then she treated me very rudely. It was not a misunderstanding, it was done deliberately. It is unacceptable that a high-end restaurant has a manager who acts in such a rude manner. Furthermore, another very young waitress (probably the youngest of all) and with a very long and thin ponytail who was placing a ventilation device in front of me, looked at me very badly when I asked her to please not put the fan in front of me, After He didn't respond to my request and looked at me...
Read moreWe came to Asiatique on a Tuesday. It is the first week of March 2022, and Thailand is still nearly empty of tourists. At least 4/5 of Asiatique is out of business.
The food and the service at Wine I Love You was poor. First of all, they only have one type of wine, and you can only buy it by the bottle at 999baht. Second of all they are trying to push two different prefixed menus costing 1,000 baht or 1,300 baht.
We ordered salads, pizza, and spaghetti, which was quite difficult to order and had to be verified by a second waitress. Our daughter spaghetti came out within 2 minutes which immediately made a suspicious.
Then came out cheesy bread which cost 200 baht, and was mediocre. Then came out the second spaghetti. Followed by One of the two pizzas. Then we got the three salads. Finally we got the last pizza.
The calamari was horrible, essentially unedible, and had to be moved to the end of the table. The pizza and salads were serviceable but not for the price. The spaghetti was very mediocre.
If you are in Thailand, and covid is still impacting the crowd numbers, your best bet is the Icon Siam. The service is much better. The food quality is much better. The food is less expensive. This could be due to a...
