Nop Nan Vegan is a family run restaurant that's been running for eons. While the city of Bangkok has shifted and drifted by the multitude of cultural influences it has faced, Nop Nan has stayed as the cities trusty anchor. Strategically situated near the Chao Phraya river, it's grew to become recognized by sailers as a place to rest and enjoy a nice hot meal. Read moreWe were so impressed with this small authentic vegan restaurant, some of the tastiest Thai food we’ve tried. The menu is ridiculously huge and feels like an encyclopaedia. Mains start at 50 baht and there’s a cheap lunch buffet as well. On both our visits we were amazed by how quickly the lady brought the food out, yet it was fresh, piping hot and packed with spice and flavour. The decor is low key, but the welcome is warm and the proprietor brought over a little sign that confirms that no animal or dairy products are used, at all. It means you can try all the dishes usually off limits to you (like larb) and get all the flavour safe in the knowledge that it is completely animal-free. Yum!
