Good views and somewhat open air in the lower restaurant (although it's an interior pier horseshoe view and El Torito and Maison Riz probably have better views because they face the beach and Palos Verdes to the South). The views up in the Crow's Nest / bar are a lot better. You can view 360 up there and I definitely suggest it for sunset.

I grew up going here on Sunday Funday bike rides for a fire chief. I moved out of state a few years ago but every time I come back to town, I've come to get one.

However, the last few times I've come, the atmosphere isn't as welcoming or fun. This most recent time we brought our daughter in a stroller. They wouldn't let us go upstairs with the stroller to the Crow's Nest / bar. That's fine, it's a bar anyway but they didn't have a high chair so we can leave the stroller downstairs.

They also didn't have any high chairs in the downstairs restaurant area. So, we were forced to leave our daughter in the stroller and eat in the upper part of the lower restaurant area away from the pretty ocean views.

They were out of the coconut shrimp appetizer Friday around noon which was the only thing we really came to get, along with our drinks. We got Ceviche instead. It wasn't very good but this is an Italian restaurant not a Mexican/Hispanic/Latinx/whatever seafood place so that's understandable.

I didn't watch the bartender mix our drinks but something was off with our fire chiefs. It's supposed to have a floater of 151 but it was definitely all mixed together. So it was hard to tell if the taste was off because he mixed the floater in or because he forgot the floater all together. Either way, it was missing its character flavor. One of our souvenir glasses was chipped too.

All in all it was a disappointing visit and I'm not sure we'll come back next time we come back to town. It's sad because we used to have so much fun here. Kinda felt cheated for 4 "fire chiefs" and a Ceviche appetizer for $70.
