I recently had the pleasure of savoring some Turkish baklava and kunefe, and I must say, they were absolutely delightful! These traditional sweets from Turkey truly captured the essence of Turkish flavors and left me craving for more.
The baklava was a masterpiece of layers upon layers of thin, flaky pastry, generously filled with a mixture of finely chopped nuts and sweetened with a delicate syrup. The texture was perfect, with a satisfying crunch followed by a melt-in-your-mouth sensation. The combination of the buttery pastry and the nutty filling created a harmonious blend of flavors that was simply heavenly.
As for the kunefe, it was a revelation. This dessert consisted of a layer of shredded, crispy pastry, encasing a gooey, melted cheese filling. The contrast between the crunchy exterior and the ooey-gooey cheese was a delightful surprise for my taste buds. The whole dessert was then drizzled with a sweet syrup and sprinkled with crushed pistachios, adding a touch of nuttiness and visual appeal.
Both the baklava and kunefe were a true testament to the artistry and skill of Turkish pastry chefs. The attention to detail in their preparation was evident in every bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my cravings without overwhelming my palate.
Not only were these sweets a delight to eat, but they also provided a glimpse into Turkish culture and tradition. They transported me to the bustling streets of Istanbul, where these treats are enjoyed with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee. The experience was truly immersive and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall indulgence.
If you have the opportunity to try Turkish baklava and kunefe, I highly recommend seizing it. These sweets are a true culinary treasure, and their exquisite flavors and textures will leave you wanting more. Prepare to be transported to a world of sweet bliss and...

Read moreThey are adding the boxes weight to their sweet prices without telling the customers which is technically stealing. The boxes weight 250 grams so quarter of a kilo is the box weight. I had to return my order after I saw all the differences especially when you buy 1 kg of sweet for 140 TL and another kind 1 kg for 120 TL and the boxs are 250 grams for both orders. I tried to explain that to them but they starting to act smart about Turkish law and how they have to charge for everything. I explain to them that you have to give your customers the options to buy the cartoon boxes or metals boxes for fix price and sell me exact one kilo of sweet without adding the boxes to the weight. Giving me the metal box and taking away 250 grams of my order without asking me is stealing. The boxes are 5 TL or 10 TL but you stealing 30 - 50 TL from each order without telling your customers. I hope someone honest that loves Istanbul reads my review and file a complaint against you to the city or...
