Centrally located Turkish restaurant where you can taste the full scale Turkish cuisine except the Sea Food. Various types of soups, main cuisine, cold and hot appetiziers, many different kind of delicious desserts are available to taste. Probably oldest restaurant in the area. Quite popular for the local people of Üsküdar. One of the gourmet destinations that I visit when I come to this side of Istanbul. Fast service. Helpful staff. Must taste varieties of desserts that are served either with cream or ice cream depending on the season of the year. Most meals are ready to serve, so it is a good choice when you have limited time. Clean WC's are on the second floor. Tea is not served unlike some other Turkish restaurants to let the customer circulation running smoothly without keeping other customers waiting. Recommended!

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The staff deceives the tourists very seriously. The prices are not displayed, you choose your dishes (they are not weighed), someone brings them to your table. I asked them to tell me how much I have to pay before a I start to eat. A fat old man with a mustache tapped me on the shoulder and told me to eat quietly, that I would pay later. I ate 2 small portions , 2 small dishes and paid 1100 Turkish lira, which is almost 35 euros in 3 July 2024. The normal price for what we bought is at most half of what we paid, maybe even 30%. The restaurant is one of a kind self-service. The wife's food (all vegetables) was cold, not heated. I don't recommend because it was the worst experience in Turkey overall and we know the prices very well. Avoid this place. A terrible experience

12.05.2024 - Sadece dondurmalı kalburabastı tatlısı için uğradım. Bol cevizli şerbeti yerinde. Özletiyor kendini. 17.09.2023 tarihinde ilk defa ugradım bu tarihi esnaf lokantasına. 1933 yılında kurulmuş. 1913 te arnavut isyanından kaçan balkan göçmeni bir aile kurmuş. Kağit helva ve dondurma satarak başlamışlar. Bu sebeple zamanla bir esnaf lokantasına dönüşsede meşhur rumeli dondurmaları sebebiyle hala en iyi dondurmacılar listesinde yer alıyorlar. Şuan restoranı üçüncü kuşak yönetiyor. buradaki eleştirilerin pek çoğunu haketmediğini düşünüyorum. karın doyurmak ciddi meseledir. pazar günü üsküdar'da işim vardı nerede yenir diye araştırdım ortaya çıkan bir kaç seçenek içinden tüm olumsuz yorumlara rağmen burayı tercih ettim. çünkü yorumlardan çok açık belli oluyordu ki buranın belli spesyalleri var. müessese 100 yemek yapabiliyor olabilir çeşit olsun diye ama 100 çeşitten hangisini seçersem seçeyim yerken dört köşe olacağım diye düşünme lüksünüz yok maalesef. ben de çok övülen kağıt kebabını denedim. harika bir şey. suyunu çorba diye getirseler içilir. özbek pilavını denedim. ılber ortaylı da sıkça uğruyormuş sadece bunu yemek için. haklı. çok lezzetli. tek sorun yerken küçük kemik parçaları çıkıyor içinden. ama lezzeti yerinde. Özbek pilavındaki tavuk organik belli. sarı sarı yağları var tavuk etinin. endüstriyel tavuklar belli oluyor. sonra yine methedilen kalburabastısını yedim. içi ceviz dolu. tadı harika. yanına da dondurma istedim. o da fena değildi. eskiden çok daha iyi olduğunu yazmışlar doğru olabilir ama bu da fena değildi. çok hafif keçi sütü kokusu vardı. ben kanaat lokantasını tavsiye ederim eğer saydığım tabakları denemek isterseniz. yediklerim 580 lira tuttu. bence pahalı değil. iki tabak ana yemek ve bir porsiyon dondurmalı tatlı. Yıllardır aynı çalışanlar güler yüzlü değil yorumu okudum. eski çalışanlar da vardı ama ben bir yanlış davranışlarını görmedim. genç çocuklar almışlar. ben tatlı yanına dondurma isterken öyle olabiliyor mu diye sordum şaka bile yaptılar olmaz olur mu abi asıl öyle olur zaten diye... buradaki eleştirilerden katılabileceğim tek nokta sanırım çay bulunmaması olabilir. ikram olarak yok ama parayla isteseniz de yok. türk kahvesi var.

A must visit place for Turkish Authentic food lovers! The restaurant offers plenty of various dishes. It’s good for tourists wondering about Turkish Cuisine. There are Ottoman dishes, Anatolian dishes and modern Turkish Cuisine. We just missed the famous Özbek Pilav because it was late on a Saturday evening. Around 7 pm there was not many options left. So, try to get here earlier at the weekends. Service is very fast. The minute you sit down, waiters arrive to take your order. I highly recommend you to check the counter before you order. Prices are very reasonable for this good quality food. Overall score 4.4/6 Authentic Turkish Restaurant

What a terrible management..went there around 6 pm today ordered 3 dishes and it was the most greasy food ever.The waiter said the meat dish is very fatty today..then I paid to cashier and said today food was more greasy than ever ..He said rudely I saw you scuffing the food..What a rude person..he added "our food was greasy yesterday,greasy today and will be greasy tomorrow"... I would never ever get there again...can't even take a constructive comment ...They don't deserve custom and a penny...
