The place is scam. We were very convincingly invited to eat, the waiter acted like a car salesman, which is normal for a touristy place, we knew that but thought we were on holiday so we went with it. The starters were great, we then had a mix fish between two. Half way through it the waiters started fighting with the neighbouring restaurants waiters. It was heated but stopped after 10 minutes. We were one of the only two tables there, but everyone acted as nothing happened. Then the waiters came back with guns and gun shots were fired in the air. Our first instinct was to run away. We asked for the bill because we didn't want to run without paying. The person who made the bill joked about Texas atmosphere. They took advantage of the panic and charged us the equivalent of 180€ for a lunch we left half way, 1 starter, 2 beers and one mix fish grill we didn't even eat half of. Nobody showed us the itemized receipt, they just pushed us to pay as we were shocked and wanted to run away. There were passerbys taking videos of the scene. Nobody said as little as "sorry". The experience ruined our entire reminder of the trip. After a few days of going around the city, I realised that was the dodgy side of...

The star of the show at Karakoy Fish House is, of course, the fish. It's clear that the chefs here take great pride in sourcing the freshest and highest quality seafood available. Each dish is expertly prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in some of the most mouth-watering fish dishes I've ever had.
The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. The decor is stylish and modern, yet comfortable and inviting. The overall atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner for two, a celebration with friends and family, or a solo dining experience.

Before walking into the restaurant, the fish market attached to it is a real treat, attracting locals and tourists to look at and purchase fresh fish and seafood. It really sets the tone for what's to come.
The service is friendly when you walk in, the tables and chairs are clean, the menus are simple (and in multiple languages), there is a wide variety of different seafood and the pricing is unbelievably cheap.
The bread for the table is really fresh and can easily spoil your appetite for your meal. This meals arrive hot, flavourful and perhaps the best fish dishes we've eaten in Istanbul this far.
My wife was impressed with her salmon and I thoroughly enjoyed my "rat fish" sandwich (I still don't know how it's that cheap).
Amazing and a must try for all seafood lovers. It's worth the trip out from anywhere in the city.
