I just finished my trip to Turkey, and it was truly beautiful! However, following the advice from a Chinese app, Xiaohongshu (AKA Red notebook), I made a mistake. Five days after returning to China, I'm still suffering from diarrhea from the meal I had on my last day. I went to the restroom over a dozen times a day. I don't understand how anyone could have the audacity to recommend such a restaurant. I usually eat a lot of raw and marinated seafood, and I've never had an upset stomach in my life! I'm sharing this with my fellow travelers to avoid any negative experiences! After this meal, my GF and I kept going to the restroom. We ordered the cheapest dishes on the menu, but we still spent 2500 Lira. The other dishes were very expensive, and the food was mediocre. We even left some unfinished. Aside from the polite women in the restaurant, there was no service. I even made reservations on Google in advance. Most of the people who went there were Chinese. Even more outrageous, this was the first time in a long time that a waiter asked for a tip up front. That's really shameless! ———————— I've never seen such a poor restaurant. They treat Chinese people like a wallet! 1. After I gave them a heads-up, the guy had the nerve to private message me and question if I was a Konak-employed troll to attack them. After I explained, he changed the subject. 2. He then questioned me about why the waiter shouldn't tell the owner when giving tips. He claimed their ingredients were fresh, and they were busy every day, so there wouldn't be expired food. What kind of gangster logic and blaming the customer is this? Furthermore, the restaurant is in a dingy, run-down building on a filthy beachfront street, with trash out of the windows. In the two hours I spent there, only five or six tables showed up. That's why there were no customers even when I arrived an hour early for my reservation. He even told me they were busy cleaning out expired food. 3. During the conversation, I remembered that the only time I'd eaten hair was at his restaurant. He then attacked me, asking why I didn't contact them to replace the dish. How could someone who didn't want to cause trouble in a foreign country blame me instead?
After seeing that I wasn't a troll, he apologized for the attack on me, acting arrogantly and unapologetically throughout. He said his restaurant hadn't had any negative reviews in four years. Are you sure it wasn't someone else's posts and you didn't see them? I went to the toilet twice while I was writing this short follow-up... My Girlfriend told me to stop harassing him, but one day later, he came to me and disappeared again. Since the store owner is so rude and keeps shirking responsibility in private messages, I have to post on Google to help everyone avoid the pitfalls.
Still, Istanbul is fabulous and we met a lot of kind ppl, but certainly...

Read moreThe food was okay, but the service was truly disappointing, especially considering the high prices. We ordered grilled blue fish and sea bream, but were instead served sea bass and a fish skewer. The server insisted the “blue fish” had just been deboned and had the head removed — clearly not the case. Wanting to avoid a scene, we chose not to press the issue.
Later, I noticed other tables were given complimentary fruit platters after their meals. We weren’t offered one until I asked, at which point it was finally brought to us.
What really compelled me to write this review was the server’s attitude. As we were leaving, he smirked and asked if we enjoyed “the free gift from him,” in a clearly mocking tone. It was rude and unprofessional — a very sour ending to an already...
