We recently visited this place as a family of 12, we had seen this place all over TikTok so decided to try it out. Upon entering the shop to greet the waiter to let them know we would like a table as you would normally do at any restaurant, as there was nobody standing outside , we were told to get out in a very rude manner by the manager. We decided to brush it off, as we thought there was too many of us in the store, even though it was empty. We then waited outside to which, we got told off for not booking a table prior, as tourists we had no clue that we had to do this, nor were we able to call as we didn’t have a sim, plus we assumed it would be okay as most places allow walk ins. After giving us a table, we noticed we were being treated so differently to other customers who were entering, we felt belittled and thought it was because we were Asian and British, the customers who walked in were given tables straight away, even thought they were of a large number and they had not booked prior. At this point we had already sat down and travelled quite a bit to try the place, so we didn’t want to leave. Upon receiving the menu, we asked the waiter what some of the dishes on the menu were, as we had never heard of them and were interested in trying. When we initially walked in there was a few savouries on display to which we wanted to know the name of, one of us went back in the store to go ask the name whilst ordering. The manager again told us to get out, as it is his restaurant, he was extremely rude and had no sort of manners. He refused to communicate properly with us. They spoke no ounce of English which is understandable, but the main concern was the level of disrespect we felt as customers, as a customer we contribute to help running a business, so there needs to be some form of manners and respect, we are paying for the food and service at the end of the day. Never in my life as a customer have I been treated this poorly, I would never recommend this place to anyone, some of the waiters and kitchen staff were so lovely as they came to apologise, but the manager really knows how to lose customers. This place is nothing like you see on TikTok, it’s pricey, food is mid, do not...
Read moreOur experience at this restaurant was frustrating enough to warrant me to write a review. While the food itself was average, the service truly ruined the visit. Our server, Dilara (I believe that was her name she had blonde hair), was shockingly unprofessional. She approached us to take our order before we’d even finished reading the menu and started taking menus away while we were still using them. We hadn’t called her over to take our order in the first place, and it felt like we were being rushed out before we’d even settled in. When we asked for the menus back, she seemed visibly annoyed. Throughout the meal, her attitude remained dismissive. She interrupted us mid-sentence while we were ordering, frowned often, and clearly treated other tables more pleasantly like smiling and offering attentive service that was not extended to us. It felt biased and unwelcoming. To be frank, if someone cannot treat all guests with basic respect, they probably shouldn’t be in hospitality. We also encountered multiple issues with dietary restrictions. We emphasized several times that some of our dishes needed to be vegetarian, and despite repeating that request four or five times, some meals still came with meat. This kind of carelessness is unacceptable especially when it involves people’s dietary needs. To top it off, the restaurant was out of savory croissants by 10 AM, which was surprising given how many menu items rely on them.
Overall, the experience was marked by rushed, dismissive service and a disregard for simple, repeated requests. I wouldn’t recommend this place based...

Mums Cafe popped up during our stroll while hunting for a European-style breakfast—something that’s surprisingly tough to find in Istanbul—with its intriguing menu catching our eye. It’s a small but cozy spot, complete with outdoor tables for a pleasant sit.
FOOD:
They offer European breakfast vibes, featuring various egg dishes, sandwiches, and toasts. We each picked a plate, but sadly, the flavors fell flat and mediocre. The potato, sausage, and scrambled eggs combo was overly greasy, spiced only with black pepper—no salt or real balance, making it feel one-note and uninspired. The avocado toast with shrimp was even more disappointing: the bread was stale and far from fresh, not even toasted to a crisp—it was tough to chew; the shrimp lacked any flavor, just a bland boiled texture that killed the appetite; the greens were wilted and drowned in mayo (why?); and the spices overall were way off-kilter.
SERVICE:
The service was pretty lackluster—waiters struggled with English, and it basically boiled down to just dropping off the dishes at the table.
VERDICT:
Unfortunately, with slim pickings for breakfasts in Istanbul and getting weary of the local Turkish ones, our quest for something fresh led to an even bigger letdown (prices above average too)—I’d skip wasting time and money here, no...
