Finally! Baklava that is like what we remembered from previous trips! With the recent economic problems in Turkiye, it seems every other place has cut back the butter and increased the sugar syrup. The baklava at Yetis Tatli has that smooth, buttery taste from top to bottom, instead of dry top half and overly sugary bottom. These are a single unit of flavor, instead of three unrelated layers like all the others seem to be now. She always has a smile on her face and she is such a happy little person, she makes me smile just looking at her. She is very compassionate and understanding as well even though she doesn’t know much English. She immediately gave us a warm smile and invited us in. The pistachio baklava were so sweet and oozed with sugary syrup. The tel kadayif (layers of kadayif noodles baked in an oven with nuts placed in) were so crunchy.
