Kavalali Suites — Hotel in Beyoğlu

I am sad to give 2 stars but truth must be told.||||Pros:||1. the location is pure perfection. 7 min walk from Galata tower, 5 min walk from Istiklal, 2 min walk from tram station (tophane)||2. The manager was helpful and we had good communication through WhatsApp. He also offered us 1 free breakfast because of the problems we faced (see cons).||||Cons:||1. The internet was unstable and frustrating slow||2. The 24 hrs reception is not entirely true. In many occasions receptionist was nowhere to be found||3. There was no safe in the room!!||4. With the exception of the manager, the other guys on the reception are speaking little to no English, making communication really hard||5. Cleaning is BIG issue... Housekeeping is not granted but you have to inform reception should you wish to have the room cleaned or have fresh towels & sheets...||6. We arrived 1 hr earlier for checking in, we waited this time for our room to get ready and finally they gave us a dirty room if you can believe it! There were even trash from the last occupants and blood on the sheets!!!... We received many apologies for that...

We were 14 people who have booked this place and we were really happy about everything. I have been living in Istanbul in the past so I already knew the zone where these apartments are located.Its the perfect place close to Galata Tower and all restaurants, coffee places and public transport stops. The staff was very kind and helpful and they have managed to put us all togehter on one floor. The rooms were nice and if you choose higher floor you can enjoy some great views. The price was reasonable rather cheap than expensive. The only problem was the wifi that was working only outside our rooms on the corridor stairs.Recommend to anybody willing to enjoy this part...
