We fell in the trap of the water mist spray fans on a hot summer day. We ordered 2 coffees, one dessert and 4 small bottles of water. When we asked for the bill and asked to pay in euros, the waiter quoted 36 euros. I asked him how much was this in Turkish liras and he showed me the printed receipt, that was displaying 795 liras. I used a currency conversion app in front of him and 795 liras was 22.5 euros. The man then said 'ok, give me 26 euros'. I showed to him again the actual amount in euros for 795 liras, and he said that this conversion was for the shops and that the restaurant had its own currency conversion rate. He was adamant, we knew that we were being ripped because we were tourists and we gave up and gave him what he wanted. Who is the loser from this behavior? The local economy. I was planning to spend a considerable amount to buy clothes from the town, but after this incident I decided not to spend a single penny in Bodrum for the rest of our day trip as I felt disgusted. And I promised to never go back. People of Bodrum if you are reading this: you need to tackle this behavior from certain people/businesses as they are affecting negatively the image of your town and your local economy. My coffee was ok, but we noticed that the two ladies that were sitting at the table next to ours had an issue with their order and they looked disappointed. The wi-fi was not working. The young boy who served us was nice. The bill was brought by an older man, who was the person...
Read moreService terrible. Staff impatient and rushing about knocking into chairs, shouting at each other across the shop. As a table of 6 we wanted to look at menus and each choose what we wanted, but we’re rushed to do so. When we ordered one persons order didn’t come and was only then told they sold out. Could not sit and enjoy our desserts because of the shouting from staff and then running up and down bumping into chairs. It really was unpleasent. When the bill came they still charged us for the missing order and then told us to go sort it at the till and made it clear we needed to move to seat new people at the table. We literally barley finished. On the way to the till one of our children was knocked over by a running member of staff. It’s a busy time of year but look after the customers you have and don’t keep taking in new customers if you can’t cope. Will not...
Read morethe food was really good and they have alergen info on the menu which i appreciate, but the staff tried to scam us multiple times. we ordered one menemen (300), one spicy menemen (335), goreme breakfast (705) which had tea included, and two teas (80 each). first they didn’t give us cookies that were supposed to come with the tea. next they gave us a wrong receipt where they charged for two more expensive menems and three teas (140 lira more). when we pointed out their mistake they brought us yet another wrong receipt with the two more expensive menemens. we had to one by one show them on a calculator what we bough and how much it cost for them to give us the...
