I’m in the search of the great espresso again. This time in Istanbul. I tried a couple of cafes here but the knowledge of the Italian espresso is missing completely so far. When I ask if their blend contains robusta beans so far nobody knew what robusta is. But. I would recommend every visitor of this city to go with Turkish coffee here. It is almost everywhere amazing. So pure and traditional. Coffeetopia has a nice location. In the heart of Eminönü where life is so dynamic and colorful. It is a small cafe and you got to order yourself at the desk. Kind of self serving. They have nice looking cakes too. I ordered a ristretto and an americano. They use a pure arabica blend and the extraction was quite good. Very intense taste of an arabica short coffee. The americano was quite good either. The people who work there are just not smiling or showing some kind of friendliness. I think when you talk to them they are cool but as a person who visits their cafe for the first time I felt this coldness. They didn’t give a glass of water to the two coffees I ordered so I asked them for and got it. There was no coffee spoon for the ristretto. My first visit to CoffeeTopia was a remarkable experience, which I will never forget. I went to coffeetopia with my wife from and my three kids. We intended to stay until midnight, the area there will get crowded and busy. There are two types of coffee lovers in this world: those who drink it and those who live it.
