My wife and I recently spent a relaxing afternoon at Viyana Kahvesi in Sirkeci, and it was a lovely experience overall. The café has a charming, old-world European atmosphere with cozy seating and tasteful decor that transports you to a slower, more elegant time. It’s a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Istanbul.
We ordered their signature hot chocolate, which was rich, velvety, and served at just the right temperature—my wife absolutely loved it. We also tried the Viyana fondue, which came with a selection of bananas and strawberries. While the fondue itself was delicious and indulgent, we both felt the dish could be even better if the fruits were slightly pan-fried or warmed to bring out their natural sweetness and pair more harmoniously with the melted chocolate.
To balance things out, we ordered a glass of fresh orange juice, which was refreshing and vibrant, a nice contrast to the heavier dessert.
The staff was kind and welcoming, and the service was prompt. It’s the kind of place where you can sit, unwind, and enjoy meaningful conversation. We look forward to visiting again—and next time, we might even suggest the fruit tweak...
Read moreWe stopped by Viyana Kahvesi Sirkeci for a little sweet escape — and it did not disappoint. The vibe of the café was warm and inviting, a perfect spot to relax after walking around the bustling streets of Istanbul.
We ordered a refreshing orange juice, a cozy hot chocolate, a slice of cheesecake, and their delightful fondue set, which came with fresh bananas and strawberries. Everything was beautifully presented — especially the fondue, with melted chocolate that was rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet.
The hot chocolate was thick and comforting, like a warm hug in a cup. The orange juice was fresh-squeezed, tangy and energizing. The cheesecake had a creamy texture with a nice balance of flavor, not too sweet — just perfect to go with all the chocolate.
What made the experience even better was the calm ambiance and the friendly staff who served us with smiles. It felt like a little European escape in the middle of Istanbul.

Read moreThis has always been a great spot for coffee and desserts. The Dubai San Sebastian Cheesecake was a bit underwhelming, though—it didnt seem like what it is in the ad, as there were no kunafa or pistachio toppings. Still, it tasted really good.
Unfortunately, our recent visit was overshadowed by a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. I politely asked if there was a physical menu available, as only one person in our group had internet access to scan the QR code. Instead of responding nicely, he abruptly grabbed the phone from my mother’s hand without asking permission and opened the menu, placing it in the middle of the table in a condescending and sarcastic manner—as if we were incapable of understanding his point.
We came to your cafe expecting proper service, not the dismissive and rude attitude we experienced as if we are in a street food shop. This behavior left a very negative impression and does not reflect well on...
