Warm, friendly welcome to this street side restaurant. We just arrived in Istanbul and wanted to see a little bit of the area. What a great find. We shared the mixed appetizer platter. They substituted the best mushrooms weāve ever eaten for the shrimp that comes on the platter (shellfish allergy issues). I was charged Ā£15 for a small mezze starter plate (normally Ā£5 or less in this area if Istanbul) - so cold it was tasteless. My pide was burnt with hardly any topping - Ā£13. Then the waiter added an unspecified taxā to the bill which more than cancelled out any discount he offered. When I challenged this - he became aggressive. None of our party of 12 enjoyed their food. Many better places than this to eat...
