This is the most traditional thing to get your relatives if they like coffee! It's right across the entry to the Egyptian/Spice Market (Misirli Carsisi) and has been there for like 150+ years!

Have been twice to the Grand Bazaar area so far and bought 5 x 100g coffee packs to take home as souvenirs. The price is really affordable and I recommend getting it for your friends and family.

In recent years, in Turkey, people start to re-invent the coffee which is already embedded to Turkish tradition (also Arabic). There are plenty of coffee shops from foreign companies and the general perception is that if you want to drink espresso or alike at your home, you need to buy the coffee from those companies which is actually not worthy considering the freshness of the coffee, thus the price too. Passed this outlet by chance in my afternoon roaming. Smelt the coffee aroma wafting in the air, saw the incessant long queue & realised that this is the Turkish coffee to try! Bought a small set of 12 vacuum sealed packets of granulated coffee packs to try in my next pit stop in Edinburgh. Wish I had bought more but the local packaging doesn't state the strength or flavour of the beans in English. And being mindful of the queue behind me, just grabbed a pack to try.
