Cappadocia Döner Göreme — Restaurant in Göreme

I don't understand all of the reviews glazing this place. It isn't good and it isn't cheap.

They put in so little meat it was basically bread featuring a sprinkling of meat. It was also dry and tasteless.

I ordered the chicken roll for 300TL (just under £6) and it was so disappointing. The roll was so empty.

I also ordered the full chicken donor in a bread roll. The bread was dry and surprise surprise, had very little chicken in it. Cost of that was 700 TL.....about £13 😳

Chips cost 200TL around £4.

They are all very happy and service was friendly, but that might be because they are making bank off of all the meat they don't give.

Tourist beware, this is one of those traps you are meant to do your best to avoid. It is by far - and by this I mean a galaxy far far away kind of far - the worst döner I've ever had. Both chicken and beef were dry as the Atacama desert, with the bits of salad and tomato doing nothing to help. The fries also managed to be disgusting, a rare feat. We'd have glady left it all if we weren't exhausted, starving, and if the prices weren't highway robbery. I see there are good reviews and my only guesses is that they're either bought, or those people have never had good food in their lives. Do yourself a favor, go...

We were starving this was the only place open late and with a “good rate” thought this would be a nice place to have a late snack, but the meat Doner is very dry and the Chicken Rise with lot of fat and oil and tastelessness. I don’t understand why is so good rated but in reality the food is bad and expensive for what they offer.
