⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Cappadocia – Real Indian Food at Dalchini
During our recent visit to Cappadocia, we were pleasantly surprised to discover Dalchini – Gen, a restaurant that truly lives up to its promise of offering real, authentic Indian cuisine. In a town known more for its surreal landscapes than spicy curries, Dalchini stands out as a culinary haven for anyone craving genuine Indian flavors.
Let’s get straight to it — Dalchini is not just another Indian restaurant by name. Many places in Turkey advertise Indian food, but are in fact run by Pakistani owners and serve food that's far from the real thing, often poorly made and lacking hygiene. Dalchini is different — it’s clean, professional, and most importantly, the food is made with true Indian soul.
We were welcomed with warm hospitality and the ambiance was vibrant yet cozy, with good vibes and classic Indian music in the background — a perfect match to the flavors on our plates. The location is superb, just a short walk from Göreme town center, and the terrace offers a beautiful view of the surrounding valleys. It’s the kind of place where you want to sit for hours, enjoying your meal with a view.
The highlight of our meal was the Masala Dosa, served crispy and fresh with authentic chutneys and sambar — something you rarely find outside South India, let alone in Turkey! In fact, Dalchini is the only restaurant in all of Turkey serving proper South Indian food, which makes it incredibly special. Every dish we tried — from the dosa to the paneer tikka and garlic naan — was made with care, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors that reminded us of home.
What made the experience even better was that our hotel (Tekkaya Cave Hotel) personally recommended Dalchini, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip.
Whether you're an Indian traveler missing home-cooked food or a curious tourist wanting to taste something unique and flavorful, Dalchini is a must-visit in Cappadocia. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs.

This lovely restaurant offers a delightful Indian breakfast experience that’s worth waking up for.
The Aloo and Paneer Stuffed Kulchas stole the show—fluffy, perfectly spiced, and bursting with flavor. Paired with a steaming cup of tea, it made for a comforting and satisfying start to the day. The Masala Dosa, another highlight, boasted a crisp exterior and a well-seasoned potato filling, reminiscent of authentic South Indian flavors.
One minor note: the dishes leaned toward the milder side, and we found ourselves adding a pinch of salt to suit our taste. However, this slight adjustment didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Dalchini’s combination of quality food, a welcoming ambiance, and a unique menu makes it a must-visit for anyone craving Indian cuisine in Göreme. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this restaurant ensures a flavorful journey...

Dalchini Restaurant seriously impressed us — this is the place for authentic Indian flavors in Turkey. Everything from the interior design to the presentation was spot on. You walk in and immediately get that warm, welcoming vibe with beautifully crafted lighting and traditional decor.
We ordered a Masala Dosa, which was perfectly crisp and came with sambar, coconut chutney, and mint chutney — exactly how it should be. The Paneer Tikka was smoky, spicy, and grilled to perfection. The Vegetable Pakoras were crunchy and addictive, and the Masala Papad made a great light starter.
But the stars of the show? The Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Prawns — both bursting with flavor, cooked just right, and served sizzling hot. You can tell they use quality ingredients and understand real Indian spice profiles.
Great service, short wait times, and unbeatable views of Göreme’s landscape right outside. If you’re anywhere near Nevşehir and craving Indian, don’t even think twice. This place...
