Mozaik Restaurant — Restaurant in Göreme

I visited this restaurant as it caught my eye walking by it one afternoon. The bar and restaurant look beautiful and it is a lovely setting for dinner. I ordered the butternut squash blossoms which were delicious but weren't big enough so I needed to order another dish after. My partner ordered lamb and was nicely full after so I think it is just the vegetarian dishes with this issue. The food, wine and setting were great but my low rating is because of the staff. I haven't experienced as poor customer service since arriving in Turkey one week ago. One waiter literally rolled his eyes when I said I needed a little more time deciding what I wanted. Another sneezed into is hand and then proceeded to fill a basket of bread for us without sanitizing his hands. The staff were very cold and clearly didn't want to be there which is a very different experience to every other restaurant I have dined in in Turkey where the staff were so hospitable and friendly - it ruined the experience. On a return visit to Kapadokya (2022) I had to at least have a meal here. I was last in town 4 years ago (2018) when I guess this establishment opened. When you read the about section of the webpage, this sets the stage for what to expect of the food and service. This has been maintained in my opinion. This is an excellent 👌 establishment which is always buzzing with Clientele when I've walked past. Based on my experience when I am in town I would have at least a meal here. I enjoyed The Lamb Shank with Mash. The Orange Juice was so nice and I had Goats milk ice cream with Vanilla. Travelling and Eating out are all experiences to take in when opportuned. Highly recommended. It was nice seeing The Owner again and having a chat. Memories of 2018 brought me back. First of all, the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and it feels small and romantic with its slow jazz music but not very loud that you can have a nice talk with your company. We ate prime rib roast and it was crazy delicious that it was amazingly soft as bread. I wasnt sure to order food because of it looks more like restaurant bar but the chef must be really well experienced that foods were extremely good. Also i saw some bad reviews that now i am shocked how these people not like or give a bad comment. It must be either cheap people or people have no taste hahaha. After that nice experience i had, i came back another day in the evening and i had some cocktails that bartender made and it was really good , i highly recommend to have malibu and fresh orange juice.
