My Mother’s restaurant — Restaurant in Göreme

My partner and I came here for dinner and ordered a main dish each, a salad, drinks and dessert. The food was good but very overpriced compared to some others in the area which had better food and service. Also, my partner found a small piece of glass in his food. The staff were very apologetic about this and while we were understanding that they had no idea how this had happened, they still charged us for everything except for the dish which had glass in it which still came to around £30. For such a serious issue as having glass in the food I’d expect to get the whole bill on the house at a minimum. As I said, the food was good and the glass was obviously not something that happens often but still massively overpriced for the quality and not nearly enough compensation for the potential...

After asking FOH staff if they do good pizzas, he replied with a nice warm smile Yes we have a good chef. we're both vegetarians so we dint expect much. We ordered pizza.. wished I'd have gone anywhere else. Our last day and it's left a bit of a bitter taste tbh. Hummus was OK. Some olive oil would have significantly improved this dish.Bread delicious baked in the region. In fact probably best bread I've had. Fries were OK. But my God the pizza. I've had better Tesco blue stripe. The base was under done and quite possibly made yesterday or the day before. Or just mass produced cheap shi7e. The cheese reminded us if our childhood with that naff Kraft cheese single wrapped in plastic. Tomato base? Pardon? What? None to be seen. FOH staff nice and then it's all down...

My Mother’s Restaurant is one of the best places in Göreme (Cappadokya). Owner the sweetest lady meets you at the entrance and greets you like you are host in her house. The tables are set on a cozy terrace where you will be greeted by a fantastic atmosphere and attentive staff. The place has breathtaking views of town caves that is an additional joy.

The menu is diverse, the prices are reasonable. You don't have to wait, the dishes are brought to you in a few minutes.
