This is my first post ever. I guess I was so disgusted with the restaurant that I had to mention what happened.
They brought us bread and it was stale. My kids were eating a few pieces. Then, the waiter took the bread away. I followed our bread ... I saw it get dumped into another basket and put on someone else’s table. This is disgusting as my kids were touching all the pieces.
This restaurant recycles the table bread. If you get there late, you could have people that have coughed on your bread, touched it, dropped it and put it back, etc.
I did not tip. This is gross and unhygienic. I mentioned it to the waiter and he look shocked that I could see that they do this, as they do it on the terrace in the back corner.
The food was ok. Not sure if it’s organic or if that’s the name, as it tasted like standard turkish restaurant food.
As I was only watching the bread at this point in the restaurant (mainly to make sure I wasn’t over reacting), an Italian looking customer found a hair in his bread near us. He actually went ballistic. This confirmed what I was seeing was actually happening.
Dessert was disappointing. No alcohol served here also. Will...
Read moreThe environment was quaint and lovely. The room however, was cold. We were told nothing that could be done wour most of our group of 11 ate dinner with our coats on - which of course didn’t enhance our dining experience. Before we ordered, we specifically asked for separate bills and we were assured that would be fine. When the food arrived, most of the portion sizes were on the small size, especially considering the price. Unfortunately, only half the meals were good. The other half were lacking in different ways. No dressing on salads - no meat in the ravioli, pastas all luke warm or almost cold. We were tired and hungry so we ate the meals without asking for fixes. When dinner was over, the waiter arrived with only one bill, which led to quite a bit of confusion Menus needed to be brought in order to verify what each person's owed - and in the end, we were told there was still money missing even though we had counted and recounted amounts plus tips - so the whole experience unfortunately left a bad taste...
Read moreThe Restaurant is located up in a hill. It has a beautiful open terrace on the second floor and the kitchen is on the main floor. The waiters are always busy going up and down the stairs getting the meals. We visit at night when it was very busy. The staff spoke English and the menu comes with the dish picture and English translations. Warning not alcohol is served in the restaurant. The only problem we had was that the waiter forgot to bring some of the dishes we order. I brought it to his attention but by that time, we already had our main dish. He apologized and didn't charged us for those dishes and brought free dessert. We had to wait to order the check and the restaurant wasn't that busy at that time. I guess the waiter went for a smoking break and forgot about us. That got me a little upset. I am sure it was just a one...
